Yes, my mistake. It comes with XLT high but was an available option for the XLT mid.
I honestly just want to know more about this remote start from your phone thing.
I read something somewhere related to that but I figured it would only work with the higher models like Platinum and Limited.
Whaaattt??? That’s very big news to me. Does it work just as good as a key fob would? And can you use that feature from multiple phones(mine and the wife’s)???
Damn, thanks for sharing that. That’s a game changer.
From everything I’ve seen you are correct about the 302A pack being the lowest model with a factory remote start.
So I guess these dealers are all using aftermarket.
I wouldn’t mind that if it was the kind that you could just use with 3xLock or Lock-Unlock-Lock on the oem remote.
I got 6 or 7 of these in there and they’re so big that there’s not much room for them to be shifting around too much.
Keeps car stuff separated from other stuff and most of them are empty for when I need a clean spot to put some purchases or whatever.
(My truck bed is not the cleanest since...
Its not an available option on the Canadian site but I’ve seen a few 2021 XL models for sale that had the remote start.
I’m trying to figure out if it was factory installed or if those dealers put in an aftermarket remote starter.
If you plan to keep the truck long term Get it out of there.
It causes more damage than protection. Mine came with one and moisture and dirt and nature stuff get in there and it speeds up the rust process.
I’m gonna leave my new one bare when it arrives and should be fine for a while since I...
I hope thats something I can also opt out of. I didn’t know we could do that. I hate the way that thing looks. I wish it was like the one on the tundra where the whole thing goes down
I took it off my order. Just too much bad history and too much of a risk.
I tried to convince myself that even if it did break and I couldn’t open it anymore(like a lady at my work) I would still have a cool glass roof.
But I’m just not wealthy enough to spend an extra $2000 on something that...
This is a little part from that article I was talking about:
Ford shipped some of its SUVs hundreds of miles to conduct secondary quality inspections and repairs; some examples accumulated so many miles in the process that they were no longer wanted by dealers.
Article...
They definitely should as it would be a very nice gesture and provide a good look on the dealers behalf but I don’t think they’re obligated to. Of the three cars I’ve bought brand new in my life, none of them ever came with much gas.
My 2018 f150 had around 40km’s to empty when I picked it up...
I currently have the Bakflip MX4, dealer installed with Ford branding.
It looks nice and does the job but is not waterproof at all. I’m thinking it may have been poorly installed or the flaps on the front and rear are too flexible or not long enough.
Also, not the most secure choice. It covers...
That was awesome, I really appreciate you doing that for me. It all makes sense now but I’m still gonna get the numbers you listed to see if everything adds up properly.
My dealer is a nice guy but always super busy and won’t be the first time he’s made a mistake.
Thanks again for the detailed...
Additional Waiting time will suck but like someone else said; there’s no way I would take that damaged one even after full repairs and a big discount.
Sadly though, someone will eventually buy it and will probably never know about the repair.
If that’s someone’s custom order are they able to just say no to it and ask for a new one without any hassle(aside from having to wait the additional time for the new one)??
I’m not really familiar with how residual value works but will definitely use that term when I meet with him again for further clarification. Thanks for the info
I’ve been going back and fourth with my dealer on my 2021 build for over a month because of changes made on my end.
I’m building one to lease for 3yrs and this dealer is in Ontario, Canada. The same dealer I got my current 2018 XLT from.
My original order was for an XLT Sport with 302A and...
