I have a 2018 XLT 2.7 with the bigger tank and I don't think I would ever go without it. I usually get 550-600 miles before fill-ups and yes I fill it every time. One of the best "upgrades" Ford offers in my opinion.

This doesn't surprise me. I have a very similar build as you, Platinum 701A, 3.5, max tow, Antimatter Blue. I got my VIN a couple of days ago and my estimated build date is the first week of March so it's more than a month from VIN to production.

Finally got my VIN! Dealer said he expects it'll be in Mid March. 1FTFW1E86MFB04511

None of my options appear to be on that list of unavailable items so come on VIN!

Am I correct in reading that you currently can't get certain engine options with black platform running boards? What does one have to do with the other?

Great insight, makes me feel even better about my decision to go Platinum. Also, the bed lighting should turn on with a button located on the drivers side on the interior wall of the bed. I don't believe it will turn on the cab light but the bed lights will illuminate.

Great write up. It really is perplexing why a color option wouldn't be available with a specific engine. Just doesn't make any sense to me, it is a paint color not a mechanical or functionality feature.
