As an update, on my '24 there was an APIM update that needed to be done. Once that APIM update was complete, the toggles within the screen worked correctly and enable/disable the feature as they should.
*UPDATE*
Was able to fix my disconnecting battery for approximately 5 minutes. After which the cluster had reset and was on to the base configuration. Reconnected to FDRS and ran the "IPC Configuration" tool and now cluster is running and operating as normal. Re-ran update and it updated...
I was attempting to run some updates using FDRS this morning on a '24 F150 XLT and ran into an issue. I was able to run an APIM, TRM, and BCM update just fine, however after running the APIM update an IPC update populated. Following all the steps FDRS gave, the update failed and now the cluster...
I don't think it's necessarily a reserve issue, as with 0 DTE I have 4 gallons left (should be what is supposed to be set to), however the gauge stays "full" for 7-8 gallons or 150 miles roughly.
Tried it this evening on a '24 XLT, ran into the same issue as @Bruce@PowerBoost. I was able to enable the "walk away lock", as well as visually see the setting on the display, however if selecting "disable" in the screen it would throw an error if trying to re-enable. The same goes for the...
That's pretty much normal. I've got a SCrew 2024 XLT 5.0, and at dead empty it'll take 32 gallons (had to have it weighted so ran it down real low). It's a 36 gallon tank, 32 gallons useable with 4 gallon reserve, so the truck will tell you 0 miles remaining at about 4 gallons left.
I think where I'm confused as it seems to be very truck-dependant. My father's is almost completely accurate, only staying on "full" for a few gallons whereas mine doesn't seem to do the same. Is there any sort of adjustment I could make in the software? Or could the float in the tank be sticking?
Hey all!
I've got 2024 F150 with the 5.0L and the 36gal fuel tank. I've noticed that, since new my truck will read a "full" tank for around 150 miles, or 8 gallons, before the digital guage begins to drop. It bugs me that this guage isn't an accurate representation of how much fuel I have left...
Thanks for all the advice! Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to where I might be able to see/hear some aftermarket exhaust? I'm liking the idea of doing one, just think I'd be more confident if I could hear one in person first.
Hey all!
I've got a 2024 5.0L, and I've been toying around with the idea of putting an exhaust on it. I know these engines can sound fantastic and an exhaust can really bring the truck to life, however I'm hesitant for a few reasons. The 24 has cylinder deactivation, so I'm concerned how...
I can confirm the Ford filler neck will fit the Gen 4 5.0, super nicely in fact. In addition, I also purchased a thread-in oil funnel and it's a fantastic setup. Super easy
Just thought it would be cool to try, doesn't hurt anything. The mustang 5.0's already have one installed from factory since they have the engine covers, and it's super nice on those because then you can use the locking oil funnels. Doesn't hurt anything to try installing one on the truck, and...
Tried installing the filler neck this morning, no luck. It appears that on the Gen 4 coyote (2024) the fill hole is too small to accommodate the Dorman filler.
