It should not hurt anything to turn it off. Just turn it back on after. Windows may also have a built in firewall. Disabling them to see if forscan works isn’t a problem.

Are you running a firewall? Antivirus? Maybe turn them off. That’s only thing I can think of

Not sure how you figure this, parking brake just holds truck from moving. Transmission is in gear. Brake holds truck.

Mine does that and I don’t step on it hard. If you watch there will be several gears missed. Nothing to worry about.

It’s been doing that all along you just never noticed. That’s how this tranny works learns your driving habits and adjust to that. It’s not a cold weather issue.
