  1. Oil Change Yesterday

If you have motor issues and Ford and dealership know you are not using recommended oil viscosity your warranty may not cover the failure. You are taking a avoidable chance.
  2. Concerns on the v8 over the 3.5 v6

Quite frankly, I must be missing the type of vehicle and its purpose when reading these posts. Are we talking about a truck or a race car? Over the decades I have had many Ford pickups from my first 1970 thru many more until I just purchased my 2021 PB and sold my 2010 Sportrac. Not one time...
  3. Does anyone else think the 10 spd transmission just plain sucks?

Well I will add my 2 cents. I came from a 2010 Sportrac with a 5 speed and occasionally at just the right rpm and speed, a push on the accelerator would cause a clunk. So when I received my PB on July 3rd, I had no perception as what to expect. As a side note, I have still not mastered all the...
  4. JLT Oil Separator

I did contact JLT concerning any issues of installation of their 3.0 oil separator on the Powerboost 3.5 liter. I received a reply this AM and will paste it below. We are working on getting the truck in the shop now for a kit to be fitted for it. We should have it available shortly for...
  5. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

I have same truck, even same color and have an average of 24.3 for my 2800 miles to date. But must admit I seemed to be obsessed with trying to increase the mileage. Not sure how long I will continue to drive so conservatively. Use of the generator last weekend tailgating did bring mileage...
  6. JLT Oil Separator

Thanks for feedback on install. I have the Powerboost that entails a lot of additional stuff under the hood. I did shoot off an email to JLT asking for any info they might have on any install problems with Powerboost option. If the email reply comes back positive I am going to order the JLT...
  7. JLT Oil Separator

Did you install the driver's side model or the passenger's side unit? If you know, which is the easier to install and which is easiest to access after installation?
  8. What's your drive mode of choice?

With 2400 miles on my Powerboost I am averaging 24.4 mpg using the normal mode. Am planning a couple hundred mile trip this weekend and may try eco mode for the excursion. Almost all miles to date have been back and forth to work and occasional trip to grocery store or doctor appointments...
  9. What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost?

Just crossed the 2200 mile mark today with PB going to work. Mileage for those total miles reads 24.3. Happy with that as compared to 2010 Sportrac 4.0 liter that I traded. Average for that vehicle for 69000+ miles was 17.1.
  10. 7.2kW Pro Power not working

Received new grill today and it works fine. Believe the old one is ready for the scrap heap.
  11. I still can't believe how game changing this is (Off Grid Camping)

And Yes, I received the New George Foreman electric grill this afternoon (Thank You Amazon Prime). My expectations were not enthusiastic that the results would be any different than my other electric grill and fully expected the ground fault error again. The control looked the same as the...
  12. I still can't believe how game changing this is (Off Grid Camping)

Yes, tried it at least 10 times. Believe the issue is in the control unit and the way it grounds. Will test a new one arriving today. If it to kicks the same ground fault error, I will know that type of controller and propower are not compatible. Will them go to another option, maybe a large...
  13. Pro Power comes on automatically at startup?

Several other replies have suggested same possibility. Also suggested the type of control unit may not have an acceptable ground. I have a new one arriving today that is of the same type, ie; George Foreman. If ground default error again, I will go to a different option. Probably a large air...
  14. 7.2kW Pro Power not working

Yes, when I plugged into house it was to an outlet that has a GFI it its leg. It eventually did kick the GFI. I attributed that to an overload as it was on same line as a small beverage refrigerator. The ground on the electric grill is just a center prong that is part of the control and makes...
  15. I still can't believe how game changing this is (Off Grid Camping)

Looking for insight into an issue that I discovered today. I have PB with 7.2 pro power generator. Have not officially used since I purchased vehicle in July. Have plugged in a light and my garage vacuum to make sure it works. It does. Today early prep for trip to my Alma Mater next Saturday and...
