This is driving me crazy. 2021 with 2.7 and 62k.
I pull out, and just at idle speed I can hear and feel a noise. Kind of a vrum…vrum…vrum…

sometimes if I lightly turn steering wheel I can get it to hold longer more like a vruuuuummmmmmmm

Does not do it at higher speeds.
Drive mode does not affect it at all.

seems cyclic? Like at some point on a revolution is when it happens?

I’m just now sure where to begin troubleshooting. Could it be brake related? Drive shaft? Working on getting audio, it’s tough to capture.

Is it more felt than heard?

Check your tires for cupping, if you have a sort of discernible outer wear on the tires, you’ll hear the tire outer trad blocks making contact with the pavement. It’s hard to explain the sound it would make honestly. Feeling it at low speeds is the only time you would hear/feel it.

Run your hand over the outer tread pack of your tires and if it’s rigid, most likely your issue. If you have all terrains it would make it worse.

Could cross rotate your tires and recheck.

Got it.

Any recent work done?
So I had torque converter and some clutch plates replaced.
But… I mentioned this noise before that repair and of course they couldn’t replicate.
It’s more of a sound than a feel I would say. But just now I coasted down street and like clockwork it was timed perfectly like I said… vrum vrum vrum and seems to kind of go away after driving a bit. It won’t always be there at a certain speed if that makes sense.

That’s a tough one. Can differentiate where it’s coming from? Like drivers front, passenger front etc.

Trying to steer you in the right direction if I’m able.

I mean I feel like it’s front left but seems subjective. Definitely front half of the truck, I’m just not drive shaft savvy enough to know if that’s a possible cause. I really need a lift where I can put it in drive and listen up close!

That’s what we do in the shop and it makes diagnosing a noise a lot easier sometimes!

I’d go under and make sure nothing is stick or wrapped around driveshafts. Listen with your windows open for any sort of noise.

Turn side to side and see if noise or feeling goes away.

We have a full shop on base I might try Monday. It’s not consistent as far as when it does it or how far in between noises the periods of noise are. I’ll update this thread until it’s solved as it’s been driving me crazy.
