  1. New guy and potential F-150 5.0 owner

The 5.0 is great. Tons of power, very reliable, great fuel mileage and sounds amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the 3.73 gears in the truck you choose.
  2. Muffler recommendations

    yes
  3. Can this be true? Mileage hit sticking with OEM size on BFG KO3's

Increase tire weight + Increased rolling resistance = Drop in MPGs. Add the EcoBoost motor and it's even more of a hit. These impact the fuel milage more that the tire diameter.
  4. Chirping cricket-like sound from driver’s digital panel

Following this. My new 2025 does the exact same thing. It is so weird.
  5. which 18" tire?

G3s are great tires. That will be a much better riding tire than the Wild peak.
  6. Muffler swap on BAP with factory duals

I had the smaller the two options that are available. It sounded amazing. 100% best choice for muffler swap option. Absolutely zero drone
  7. 295/65/20 on OEM wheels with Rough Country 2” level?

295/65R20 is a very common mod for these trucks. No rub with factory wheels and 2" level.
  8. Muffler swap on BAP with factory duals

You just need the shop to add a Y pipe.
  9. Muffler swap on BAP with factory duals

I feel like a lot of people are not aware of the fact that Corsa does sell individual mufflers. Replace the flow master with this. Absolutly zero drone and sounds amazing. It will sound substantially better than the Borla or flow master weld in units.
  10. Muffler swap on BAP with factory duals

Swap that flowmaster muffler for a Corsa. That will eliminate all of your drone. You will hear the cylinder deactivation though. BUT that can also be heard with the factory BAP duals.
  11. F-150---- V8 Gas Mileage? What MPG Do You Get??

Try this for max fuel milage with the V8. The key is to let the motor run at about 2K rpm in 4-cylinder mode. 45 mph and below; Eco and max gear set to 7 45mph to 65mph: Eco and max gear set to 8 65mph to 75: Eco and max 9th 75mph+: Eco in 10th
  12. 2024 XLT 5.0 noticeable vibration at idle

Just curious if anyone had this resolved or found the root cause of rough idling of fairly new trucks.
  13. 295 or 285 - need your input

    295/65R20 is the correct answer.
  14. Borla atak on the f150 v8

If you're keeping the factory exhaust manifold, cats and tune, you won't notice a difference. You will get drone from that Borla kit though.
  15. Ford 15,000 mile maintenance

15K maintenance should be tire rotation and an oil change at the most. Thats only if you're doing 5000-mile oil change intervals, if not, then it should have only been a tire rotation.
