The 5.0 is great. Tons of power, very reliable, great fuel mileage and sounds amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the 3.73 gears in the truck you choose.
Increase tire weight + Increased rolling resistance = Drop in MPGs.
Add the EcoBoost motor and it's even more of a hit.
These impact the fuel milage more that the tire diameter.
I feel like a lot of people are not aware of the fact that Corsa does sell individual mufflers. Replace the flow master with this. Absolutly zero drone and sounds amazing. It will sound substantially better than the Borla or flow master weld in units.
Swap that flowmaster muffler for a Corsa. That will eliminate all of your drone. You will hear the cylinder deactivation though. BUT that can also be heard with the factory BAP duals.
Try this for max fuel milage with the V8. The key is to let the motor run at about 2K rpm in 4-cylinder mode.
45 mph and below; Eco and max gear set to 7
45mph to 65mph: Eco and max gear set to 8
65mph to 75: Eco and max 9th
75mph+: Eco in 10th
15K maintenance should be tire rotation and an oil change at the most. Thats only if you're doing 5000-mile oil change intervals, if not, then it should have only been a tire rotation.
