    My Powerboost which I had to get rid of made the same noise and the cause was low tranny fluid from the factory, I’d get dealer to check.

    Mine only lasted a year with many major problems. Had to trade it in (no Lemmon law in communist Canada)I’m out just over $10k. Never again will I even consider a hybrid especially from Ford.
