    MY DIAMOND BACK REQUIRES VERY LITTLE EFFORT TO OPEN TAILGATE. **I DO NOTHAVE THE AUTO UP FEATURE**. MINE DOESNT DROP THOUGH DUE TO THE RUBBER GASKET CONTACT ON THE TAIL GATE. I HAVE TO SLIGHTLY HELP IT DOWN. GOING BACK UP IS MINIMAL EFFORT ALSO.

    If you didn’t wanna go under the seat, there’s always this option. it’s fairly cheap based on the amount of money you said you were spending and you don’t lose anything space Wise.
