i ordered the plate and bolts/nuts today. hope the install goes well! :) ford parts had free shipping on them, not sure why.

i was also thinking of shrinking the size to the area of the flat surface only, and skipping the perimeter where the bevel is on the sides.

here it is closed. i left the edges uncleaned with some white so you could see them in the photo. one pic closed and another with both layers sitting as they were closed.

I have the idea to custom make these so I decided to give it a try. Eventually plan to add silicone based adhesive and permanently attached them it does close properly with two layers of the silicone matting. What do you think?
