  1. Another victim of the rear cab vent leak

Yes I used my hose to verify before fixing and retesting.
  2. Another victim of the rear cab vent leak

While vacuuming my front passenger floor I discovered that it was soaking wet. I did do the elbow on the condenser tube and thought it was good. Then after a rainstorm there was water again in the wire loom valley next to the door. I track the water to behind the passenger rear seat. The...
  3. 22 F-150 Tire Vibration

I have the Hankook tires. They are pretty smooth riding tires. I just purchased Michelin Defender tires that will be installed next weekend. These are the new and improved, but the last ones were awesome on my 2500. Hopefully your new tires will improve your vibration issue.
  4. 22 F-150 Tire Vibration

My vibration started a 68mph. Once the front driveshaft was replaced I’ve been vibration free. I had some up and down movement on the bad front driveshaft. The new replacement had absolutely no movement.
  5. Roadmaster Active suspension in a long bed

To remove you have to jack up the frame and let the suspension hang. Then loosen the two nut to release the spring tension. I don’t think you could release enough tension with the suspension loaded.
  6. Airbag installation

You can install airbags without a compressor but you’d have to manually fill them from the outside each time you’d need make an adjustment. I did that for a while but moved to the lowest cost compressor I could find with a gauge. There is no comparison between the two. With on-board you can make...
  7. Firestone Lifetime Alignment

I love the Ford app. It lets you add service records with receipts. So I document every oil change and cabin filter replacement. So the dealer can’t upsell me on anything. I have a good shop I’ve brought my Dodge Ram 2500 there for years with the lifetime alignment. Never tried to sell me anything.
  8. Fox 2.0 with Factory spring

One thing I did not do was loosen the upper control arm bolts during the install. I followed The Ford instructions for their version of the Fox 2.0 coil over kit. Their instructions did not call for loosening of the upper control bolts. After the install I had a bit of side to side movement...
  9. Upper control Arms question

The only reason I loosened the bolts is because I have an alignment appointment with my dealership the Saturday. The pop was that loud. It was definitely the bushing. Everything tightened up nicely
  10. Upper control Arms question

In case anyone else runs into this. I loosened the four upper control arm bushing bolts. One of the bushings actually popped. The truck is a different animal now. That bouncy side to side motion is completely gone. I loosened the bolts while it was on its own weight. I could reach everything...
  11. Fox 2.0 vs Fox Snap Ring Struts

I just went the snap ring Fox 2.0 route. I have it set at factory height but, you have the option of 2.5” and anywhere in between. The ride is firmer now but very controlled. I have the RAS and Fox 2.0 already in the rear. It made the front feel very soft and floaty. I was surprised to find my...
  12. Upper control Arms question

I just swapped out my strut to a Fox 2.0 keeping the Factory springs at factory height . I followed Ford instructions. I did not touch the bolts on the upper or lower control arms. I had it aligned it rides nicer but seems a tad bouncy. It’s probably because the are different but should I loosen...
  13. Fox 2.0 with Factory spring

I did the Fox 2.0 just struts installation today. Went much easier than I anticipated. The upper ball joint came out without a hammer or separator. It was around 3.5 hrs job. Rides really nice. Now matches the rear that already had the Fox shocks and RAS installed. I installed the front struts...
  14. Firestone Lifetime Alignment

I don’t think they care unless you specifically ask them like I did. If you ask them you get the Official answer. Like I said I bought in my truck with a 2” lift from the RAS. They didn’t say anything.
  15. Firestone Lifetime Alignment

My purchasing dealership couldn’t even figure out my vibration since new. The had the truck probably 10 weeks in total. They changed out my rear driveshaft twice, balance the tire and let my truck sit for seven weeks. I finally just took my truck back. I brought it to another who ended up...
