Mine seemed to be the shade. Close and retract and it would go away for a while. I could have taken it in for a dealer look see but I was over the truck sitting at the dealer while they were guessing at how to fix the "stop safely now" problem.
Made a trip downriver for a grad party last weekend with the new diesel. Yes I was under the Google speed limit but I was coming out of a construction zone. (Michigan orange barrel season) and6i was bumping the Supercruise back up when I took the picture. That is nearly the highest I've gotten...
Shoulda got "Pro Grade". You would have been happier with the interior. ? That’s a SierraHarley "funny"
The F150 guys won't understand.
By the way, I don't miss that pano roof at all. I've never had any rattles that my pano roofs had.
Replacement arrived a week and a half ago. I'm typically not a hand calculator for mpg but I did with my first fill up. I didn't need to but I was going by the cheapest diesel fuel near me. 265 miles. 10.9 gallons. 24.3 mpg. That was mostly on service roads. Maybe 15 miles on an interstate...
I suppose I could but not sure it would help because GM isn't going to do any warranty work based on oil analysis. So still at the mercy of an actual failure. And, I'm ready for that truck new smell. ;)
Updating an old thread.
It's time to move on from my GMC. It never spent a night at the service dept. Oil changes, tire rotations and a software update.
I'll be honest. There are some 6.2l engine failures happening. That wouldn't be terrible if they would have replacement engine...
The only time Michigan has salty roads is IN the winter. Like today with freezing rain. I'll be taking my truck thru the wash tomorrow.
And yep, my driveway is a skating rink. Put salt down about 2 hours ago to take wife to Dr's appt.
No way am I going to turn on the outside water, try to straighten out a frozen hose then spray water that'll turn my driveway and sidewalk that neighbors use into a skating rink. Then, reverse the process and spread salt on the driveway and sidewalk.
I go thru the car wash and accomplish the...
I just go thru the car wash 2 or 3 times a week. I have a monthly unlimited plan. And, like mentioned above, I don't hang on to them long enough for it to be a problem. I'm trying to decide to order a 2025 or wait another 6-8 months and order a 2026. Either way, it'll be a 3.0l diesel.
I hopefully have a few more years left with my bud. I hope I can outlive him. At my age it's not a given. I want to be the one gazing in his eyes on his last day.
I've had around 10 trucks with power running boards. Never had a failure. The latest style Ford and GM are using don't drop when they deploy. They just swing out. That makes for a big step compared to Amp Research that drop as they deploy. Because the GM boards don't drop, they can swing back to...
