Looking at getting the OZ Omega tune during the black November sale. Does the HP tuners RTD4 allow everything to be done through the OBD2 port under the steering wheel now? I know in the past you had to go under the hood and disconnect the ECU. Looking to avoid that if possible. How simple is...
No I haven’t had an issue in over 2 years now. My theory is the assembly grease thickens when cold and doesn’t allow it to disengage properly for the first few uses
What kind of a noise is it? Rattle? or more of a rumble? Mine has been making a loud rumble noise when the truck's cold and accelerating almost like a manifold leak, when the truck is warm its quiet though. Mine has 55k on it for reference and I just recently started noticing it
Did you just replace the spark plugs? Or did you do any coils or wire boots when doing this? I'm preparing to do this service soon on my truck and just trying to gather information of what all to replace when I do it.
Exactly what happened to mine, took it in for a pinion seal leak under warranty and got the truck back and the rear end whines, after multiple trips back to the dealer and them telling me its the "transmission pump" and its normal, I gave up and have just been driving it. Now the pinion seal is...
Does anyone happen to know the OEM part number for both mirror caps? Specifically for trucks without the camera but have the puddle light? I'm wanting to order a set and take to a body shop to paint match with my truck and I'm looking to see if I can get it done this route for cheaper than the...
Going to be changing my rear diff fluid out soon and debating which fluid to go with. Manual calls for 75w-85 I think that's pretty thin. I'm debating between valvoline 75w-90 or 75w-140. The reason I'm thinking about 75w-140 is because it should offer better protection and it is what ford used...
Happened on mine too. My rear end started to whine after the first pinion seal replacement and I've taken it back multiple times and they tell me its the transmission pump (which I know is BS) so I'm afraid to take it back to the same place again for this leak, I would look elsewhere but every...
UPDATE: I am now at 43k miles and the pinion seal is leaking again. This one made it a whole 25k miles before going out again. It seems like this is a pretty common issue, has ford done anything to try and fix this? Or is it just junk parts? Pinion seals should last a lot longer than 20-30k...
The way I understand it is fords design is much simpler and was proven to be reliable in other applications, I still however choose to not use it and just drive exclusively in sport mode.
