Also, I just read about people doing underbody wash on these trucks and water getting into some wiring and causing a short circuit.

Since you just had it in for service, I would check the engine bay for any unplugged sensors/harnesses/cables. Do you have a voltmeter?

Sounds like a dealer item. Luckily it's still under warranty.

I check the 5amp fuse #35 in the kick panel and it's good. I don't see fuse 36 in the under hood fuse panel.

Is this the fuse box located in the front passenger kick panel?

Thanks for your response, I'll be installing the speakers this weekend along with some dynamat sound deadening behind the speakers. I'll have to go to the audio shop and get some tesa tape to dampening any plastic clips.

I may do the same of just installing the speakers and seeing how it sounds. I originally wanted to do the Kicker Key 200.4 along with the Kicker 500.1 with a Kicker 10" slim sub behind the rear seats. Did you have any issues with sound deadening in the door and the smart key functionality?

So you ended up not using an amp? Just the factory head unit for powe?

Did you ever get this done? I'm looking at the Kicker Key 200.4 as well for upgraded JL Audi 6x9 fronts, and 6.5" rears.
