It only happened on hard acceleration and trans seemed solid. Just no power and felt like it was fighting itself. Decided to look at the airbox first and seen the intake boot when I popped the hood.
While driving down the interstate I went to pass and truck downshifted like normal. Engine rpm went up but just held and did not pick up speed with no power. Drives normal around town. See video

That makes sense, they were very quiet about the whole thing. I talked to the guy doing the work he just had a puzzled look on his face, wouldn't elaborate, or give me straight answer on anything I asked. They just wanted to slap it back together and move on to the next. Seems to be the norm...
Got it back and its "fixed" They replaced the :
-deactivation solenoid (Passenger side) caused the issue
- Small timing chain passenger side
- tensioners /belts
-VCT's
- oil level indicator / tube assembly
- tons of different bolts/ gaskets
- Inspected cams, rockers, inspected oil and changed...
Yep I drove it 2-3 miles, it didn’t want to do it but it did. I had to accelerate slowly or it would shake and fall in its face. It was running on 4 cylinders and not smoothly.

I think there is more damage than they think.

I have the same problem. Even if you turn off traction control AND Advance Trac, it still interferes. My 2018 did not do that and let me light up the rear tires if i wanted too. The light on the 21 still flashes on the dash if everything is turned off. Its annoying, turning it off should mean...
