    I had the dealer do one of those free oil changes on my last truck. 3 days later I found the engine’s oil cap sitting on the battery. Never again.     You were doomed the minute you turned into a Firestone shop. I’ve never owned a set of Firestone tires that didn’t give me trouble and I’ve never been to a Firestone shop where I received anything that remotely resembled customer service or support.

  13. Oil changes on extremely low milage

    The first 3 years of owning my XLT it was also mostly a toy. I drove it an average of 1500 miles a year. I did change the oil every 12 months even though it had low mileage because that’s what the spec calls for. This past year I drove it 10k miles. Feel like I’m abusing it.:cwl:

  15. Tire Shop Fails -post 'em if you got 'em

    I know a woman that took her car to get new tires. The shop offered a free oil change with the tire job. The guy that did the oil change installed the drain plug finger tight. The engine grenaded on the interstate a few days later when the plug fell out and all her oil drained.
