My 2021 F150 still is rocking the original battery and as of now is not giving any issue's. With that said in the next few months I will be installing a H8 just to make sure things stay healthy.
Not sure but a low or dead battery can cause any number of issues with these computer driven truck's. When you get it back give it a nice deep charge and clear the codes and see if it comes back.
At work we put 32k of weight into a F650 and just told me to drive. I hit a pothole in the parking lot and could hear metal falling onto the ground. The leaf springs did not like it at all and decided they were not good with going fir the ride.
So that is where I would look first to see if...
My guess is Ford will continue with the updates for older trucks for as long as they share the same hardware as the newer trucks being built.
So if say a Apim that using the same hardware is still being used that will get updates just maybe at a slower rate. These trucks seem to share a lot...
Do you happen to use the automatic cruise control a lot ? I maybe wrong but if memory servers me ot uses the rear brakes to slow down which would lead to that.
I am at 47k and my pads and rotors are still good but when I need to go down a hill I tap the brakes and let the truck coast down and...
I have a 2021 with about 47k and still on the original Ford battery. Just checked the SOC and it sits at 68% after a 20 minute ride home from work. It maybe time to replace it in the near future but still working on.
I live in Michigan and you would be hard pressed to make it out of a parking lot without breaking a rim here.
I do like the look and all, but how does it feel going down the road? The tire is part of the suspension system, do you feel every little crack go over or does the truck smooth things...
Not sure what the issue is but when my truck was stock when I went over tracks or hit pot holes which is what most of Michigan roads are composed of the rear of the truck would bounce up and sideways which was not what you want.
When I replaced the rear shocks that for the most part was gone...
The rear suspension is not my favorite. I replaced the shocks in the rear in the first 1000 miles and it handles pot holes and RR tracks much better.
Take a look there are several threads on it and something you can do yourself in under a hour.
Just because a truck can pull something down the road does not mean you should.
My parents used to belong to a camping club and what people generally used was rated weight x.85 to make sure that you were not all over the road and when doing steep roads you were able to stop slow down when...
