So, still dealing with this. Ford offered to cover ~$1K and the rental which would leave me with something like $500 to pay out of pocket. I tried speaking to a supervisor at Ford Customer service (which took forever since they give you no way to contact them directly and you have to wait...
The service advisor at the dealership tells me that the exhaust heat exchanger in CSP 24N04 is "a different part" (and it's one of the "first things he checked"). How many exhaust heat exchangers are part of this hybrid system?
Still going talk to Ford Customer Service, but I'm afraid...
UPDATE
After some back and forth between the service center and Ford customer service, the I was told by Ford that this isn't covered under my Premium Care ESP nor the drive train warranty. Ford did offer to "help" by covering $500 of the nearly $1,500 repair, but this isn't what I expected...
Yeah, I just checked and I've got this in my Ford Pass too. It's the same CSP that @Snakebitten mentioned. Keeping my fingers crossed. There's not certainly they say it's covered since I don't have a coolant leak.
Thanks! I spoke to Ford Customer Service and told them about this, so they're talking with the service center about whether it's covered. I don't have a coolant leak though so I'm not sure it will be.
I have the PremiumCARE plan. This is what the brochure says is covered for the Emissions parts. Apparently "Exhaust Heat exchanger" isn't on here (unless it's just called something else in the brochure)
I've been hearing this chirp from my PB for quite a while. I took it in to the shop once for regular service and asked them to look at it, but they couldn't reproduce it. Finally realized it occurred consistently when the ICE engine shut off even when stationary (and sometimes when the ICE...
Coated the rims with bronze HyperDip (PlastiDip). I think it's an improvement over the matte black.
Also, noticing some more rubbing on the rear crash bars at full lock and when suspension is compressed. Not going to remove the crash bars over this, but might try to bend them back a bit.
Got the MR707s mounted with the 305/65R18F KO3s.
Even though I've got a 2.5" lift in the front, I needed to do some minor trimming of the air dam to keep tires from rubbing as they turned in.
So I just got a set of 18x9 707s. I really like copper wheels, so I'm planning to plasti-dip them.
Now I'm waiting for tires. Just ordered 305/65R18/F KO3s from Costco. Tried to get America's tire to price match and, although they'd match the price itself, they wouldn't give me the warranty...
I definitely like the look of your 17s. And it does look like you've got a lot of sidewall.
How come you didn't get a larger tire? 285/70/17 are slightly smaller than stock even.
Interesting, I hadn't heard about 17s and the steering knuckle.
Method told me, if I got the 17s, I would need to make sure the shop did a dynamic balance and put the weights towards the inside of the barrel. And even though they sell a +25, I could only fit a 0 offset to clear the MaxTow...
I'm looking to get some Method BeadGrip wheels. I can only fit a 17" rim with a 0 offset on my truck since I've got the Max Tow Package (I called Method and they confirmed it they will fit). I'm primarily looking for a better solution for overlanding/offroading. I've got Bilstein 6112...
