I've seen this thread pop up on various forums across multiple manufacturers for the better part of 25 years now. The answer is always the same, on water cooled turbos it's not a problem. Little old Subaru figured it out 30+ years ago. The basics are the water (antifreeze) in the turbo cartridge...
The replacement bolt was never meant to be a long term fix. The recall bulletin said it was an interim solution, meaning they knew it'd likely fail again.
Think about this for a minute Elon Musk is an illegal immigrant who used his daddy's Emerald Mine money to invent in a bunch of companies, and signed contracts in those companies so he could legally claim he invented all those things. He didn't invent or even come up with the ideas for any of...
Tesla only has a consumer perceived advantage because they have had level 2 for so long. The reality is they're still basically stuck at Level 2 on autonomous driving. Several other manufacturers have level 3 and to my knowledge no one has actual functioning Level 4 in consumer hands. And for...
I've lived in the Sacramento area for most of my life and I'm familiar with the Tule Fog. I'm just saying fog lights are not designed to throw a long beam. I've never had a vehicle where the fog lights made a HUGE difference. It's always been a low wide beam you could barely see. It was always...
Yeah I'd like to be a little bit more capable to be off grid but the kids still use too much water for that. I also feel like I'm stuck between the chicken and the egg.... We don't do off grid camping so we're not set up to do it. Since we don't do off grid we don't get setup to do it.
There seems to be a pretty decent misunderstanding about what fog lights are designed to do. Their beam pattern is intentionally low and wide. The SAE approved fog light pattern is very short and very wide it's available on the Internet. It's not to throw light way down the road, in fact that's...
0W-XX oils are not only for emissions. Getting that 0W means you're getting the best possible flow for the coldest temperatures. That means you're getting the best possible protection when cold. That being said there are some trade offs oil manufacturers make when they get that 0w rating. Namely...
I'm in the Sacramento area and the most I do is to drain the water heater and low point drains. It doesn't get cold enough long enough to justify anything else here. That being said I'm a bit of a weather nerd, so I'm constantly keeping an eye on the weather. If it looks like we'll have a...
IMO it's not hot enough where you're at to justify moving to a 40wt. I get wanting the 0w component given how cold MN can get. There are a few, all be it rare, 0w30 oils around. You could try one of them. The only way to truly know if the change is working out for you is to do used oil analysis.
I assume you're running a decent weight distribution hitch? I'm a fan of weigh-safe if you're looking at upgrading. You could also blow the budget on a pro-pride.
I'd look at replacing your shocks with something like Bilstein 5100s (at stock height)
My travel trailer is limited on storage bays so I put mine in their own tub and the stinky slinky goes in my bumper. I'd prefer a tube but I'm too cheap to buy one
