  1. Jackstand location for rear suspension work

Also---remove the spare---probably gonna need the real estate to work the OEM shackle bolts out. New shackles should be EASY to install after getting the stock ones out.
  2. Adding weight to bed for ride quality

For passenger cars growing up, I primarily drove full size Chrysler products, and the pickups ranged from 67-77 Chevrolets. At 18, I bought a new 79 C-10, 454/4spd/6200GVW. That truck has been the nicest riding truck I have ever been in (Still have it--parked it with 420-k on the clock in 2010)...
  3. Dash Cam pays off

With all of this so called technology, why are so many videos mirrored. Annoys the hell out of me.
  4. F-150---- V8 Gas Mileage? What MPG Do You Get??

21 F150 SuperCab, 8' bed, 4x4, 3.31 I got 700.7 miles on my last tank of gas. Miles to empty read "0" for 6.7 miles Truck tells me 21.0mpg, but I have not double checked that yet 33.8gal to fill it up----36 gal tank After fillup---MTE read 744 I decided to live on the edge this fill up and for...
  5. Raise the Front or Lower the Rear on 2023 FX4 5.0

No, I did not. 30,000m and no complaints. No vibration Steers just fine The front bumper came up 1/2” Lowering the rear moved some weight back and made the truck much less bouncy on washboard surfaces and also made the truck more comfortable to sit in as now I am not going downhill all the time...
  6. 2025 f150 tremor blocks

My 21 SuperCab, 8' had arrow cast int the block. Not sure about the shorter than 164"-157" WB trucks tho.
  7. Another New Car in the Driveway

August 2020 Went to 3 different dealers looking to order a new pickup. All three refused to look around and possibly locate one for me. (I was pretty sure ordering was my only option) Called a 4th dealer and he said no issue. So, I went--ordered a new pickup. (Late 2020 and the order bank had...
  8. 2022 and 2023 payloads over 3000lbs - is this correct

You are thinking of the HDPP package of the earlier trucks. Available on XL, XLT300a Specific front stabilizer Specific wheels/tires. (18” painted aluminum) Specific springs. (Max tow) Specific rear axle (max tow) I believe tires will be 275/65-18 on both two wheel and 4 wheel drive As I...
  9. Someone recently mentioned winter blend fuel, hurting MPGs.

Yep, just filled up last weekend while I st had 1/2 tank. mileage dropped from 20.2 down to 19 right out of the gate. had trouble getting anything over 18 last year. winter blend sucks and it is not needed in So. Texas
  10. Buying another 2021 F150...

would you have a link or phone number to call for these? I need one for the spare
  11. Any concerns with cylinder deactivation?

Dealer found an issue with my truck while scanning codes for something else. i had no idea something was wrong and no CEL. Took the truck in for a completely unrelated electrical gremlin. (I think A-S-S) this was when the truck was still pretty new (21 XLT). No problems since except for the...
  12. Top speed no longer limited to 100mph or 160kph?

My ‘21 Coyote stops accelerating at 106. only done this a couple of times, but 106 on each
  13. What is the "clucking" sound under the hood in front of the driver when power is off?

I can shut mine down and even 4 hours later I can hear modules and relays shutting down. Standard XLT 301A 5.0 with keyed ignition and basic lock/unlock/start buttons on the fob. Key can be on the console or in the house--makes no difference.
  14. Michelin Defender LTX MS2 Buyers Remorse Based on Looks Only

Don't really car what a tire looks like for the most part. Do care that it rides nice and is QUIET. I live in South Texas, so traction is not really a concern and for the most part, the only reason I have a 4x4 is to not get stuck in my very sandy backyard. I do care what the tires look like on...
  15. H8 Battery Upgrade May Not Quite Be the Solution That I Hoped For

I put an H8 in to replace the second OEM H6 in my 21 XLT. granted, I do not have all the goodies in my truck, but so far (16 mo), no issues. I believe the truck’s personal command center wants to see a SOC around 70%, and frequently lower. i deactivated my A-S-S so I don’t get that failure to...
