Pls post what you hear at the dealer? Did they want you to demonstrate the issue?
Thanks... at least they got it done regardless of which one they used. I have been timid about it thinking they are trying to improvise a fix to reduce their recall costs.
I have been using 70 as the lowest and thought that was working... but today, while on 70, it stopped cooling in ~15 min. I'm in GA - humidity hell. I turned it off and sweated for 15 min. and turned it back on and got on home.
In GA where humidity is horrible - I froze up today in ~15 min. of driving; drove on another 15 and turned it back on and it was working. I thought I had a way around it by no putting the thermostat below 70, but that's not helping.
I know this sounds strange for an A/C, but last year, mine also stopped - and usually at the most inopportune times like on a 200 mile trip on a hot day driving into the sun. I learned after trial and error that keeping it at 70 seemed to keep it cooling to some degree. It's shocking to me...
Couldn't agree more - let us know if you find out more. In the interim, I manually hold mine at 70 on cool and that seems to keep me cool and it doesn't freeze up (yet)....
I have found if I set the temp manually to 70, it's cool inside and doesn't ice over. Very annoying. 2023 XLT. Do we know anyone that has had fix that conclusively resolved this issue?
