I'm just letting you guys know that have the newer models that Ford hasn't figured out how to fix the 10r80. If they had all of rebuilds, replacement, and software updates would have fixed mine. Try putting your truck in 4 low and driving it.
I'm glad I've still got my 96 and 08 F-150s so I still have a truck to drive. Wish I wouldn't have traded my 17. Never had any problems with that coyote 6 speed combo.
The adaptive learning in the 10r80 is bs. Transmissions should know everything they need to know from day one. First tsb plus rebuild at 30k, 2nd done at a little over 50k, complete unit replacement at 55k, transfer case replaced at 58k. Truck is still at the dealership experiencing damaging...
