I wish I could do that. My build was very specific and I don't think I will see another even close to it.

I feel for you and completely understand. An antimatter blue powerboost is a rare bird on ANY lot right now, especially one that's optioned out.

As a continuation of this clown-world with Ford, I noticed that our local dealership had two powerboost trucks that were literally built in Dearborn Monday (8/30) and have already switched to built status on the tracker. In fact, after calling my salesman about it, he already has preliminary shipping information, with a scheduled ETA of 9/20. He also confirmed my original order is also on a chip hold much like several other guys here.

I just said to hell with it, and had him reserve this truck for me. Silver instead of carbonized grey, but it has all my options (aside from interior work surface, which I may add later), plus a few more things I left off like max tow, co-pilot assist, larger wheel package and power tailgate/step.

At least this way I can have my choice between the original truck with no REAL ETA or this one that is about to ship or has already shipped.

I've been watching this thread to see when you guys are going to actually get your trucks, as much as this sucks for you I'm selfishly glad to see some trucks are being built in Dearborn this week. Mine is scheduled to be built today so this gives me a glimmer of hope that may happen yet. Ordered in April, VIN mid July, Sept 2nd build date.....its getting tiresome.

I've been watching this thread to see when you guys are going to actually get your trucks, as much as this sucks for you I'm selfishly glad to see some trucks are being built in Dearborn this week. Mine is scheduled to be built today so this gives me a glimmer of hope that may happen yet. Ordered in April, VIN mid July, Sept 2nd build date.....its getting tiresome.

I hope it gets built today. Mine was built on 8/4 but it did not show up until around 8/6. It still says "In production" but it was built missing chips and still is. Good luck.

Well, I just talked with my dealership, I got pushed till 9/14 too. However, they do not see any details other than secondary status produced. Salesman didn't know anything about a case being opened and escalated in regards to my order, as the official ford account on this forum has told me.

I still don't get how the chips are an issue. If when they assign it a build date, all parts are said to be available(or it wouldn't schedule according to my dealer), but when build time comes, they don't have all the parts anymore... ?

I have to agree with others tho, at least once we do get our orders, it'll be what we want, instead of just taking whatever we can get (which is only non PB XL or XLT models around here).

Just jumped ship got a lariat 502 for price of my xlt. I got a $2000 personal rebate somehow which helped out and also salesman said xlt and lariat are leasing at same rate now so if both trucks where 55k payment would be same. Just feel bad about ordering this truck and getting something else somewhere else but its wow

I wonder if they are missing chips? In all seriousness, I have a few employees that just got power back last night. I hope these trucks help someone.

Wha wha whaa. Hate to say I told you so but I predicted this about two weeks ago in this thread.

Confirmed for me yesterday. The GM says hes going to get with the Ford zone rep to see why such a close ETA start if its missing chips. Ill report back if its anything of interest.

I'm also 8/4 build with status "in production".

I'm showing last checked date of Aug 5th for everything except SASM, VDM, HCM, & SECM.

The VDM chip was missing from my friends truck that got stuck in the massive backlog earlier in the year.

I know not all these chips are needed on every truck and that ETIS is not 100% accurate, but it's looking like a possibility at least some of us were built missing chips. I hope not.

Yeah im stressing/geeking out about getting my truck. My wife goes back to work from maternity leave on Tuesday and here we are with a newborn and only one vehicle capable of carrying a carseat. I thought I had planned plenty ahead when I ordered in May..

Ive scoured https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt to see the chip details of my truck.

SASM (addresses 797-): Shows no programmed values for my truck
VDM (addresses 721-): Shows no programmed values for my truck - but also no programmable values in the FORScan spreadsheet.
HCM (addresses 734-): Shows no programmed values for my truck, I dont think my truck gets this module (no dynamic headlamps)
SECM (addresses 7C5-): Shows no programmed values for my truck - hard to tell if my truck get this. Includes some stuff that appears as to belong to dynamic steering effort and some things that look basic like steering wheel button controls
