I don’t think there are many production weeks left for 2021s. If you did place an order now I think you’d be lucky to get one produced before they switch over to the 22s.

But yeah it seems the general thought is 22s won’t change much, but MSRP will probably go up, whether $200 or $2000 can’t tell until the new production guides come out. With that said, maybe they’ll make some options standard on lower trim to make up for it. More discussion here: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/2022-f-150-ordering-start-of-production-dates.3660/

I’m not even sure how incentives will be by the time I take delivery (if my order even gets produced at this point). I was hoping for some nice end of year incentives, but with stock and demand the way they are, who knows.

A lot of uncertainty right now.
That is so far from the truth. Production on '22s isn't going to start until 12/06 at the very earliest at DTP. So that means there is no less than 4 months of production left on '21s since KCAP is 2 weeks behind what DTP does. Still LOTS of time to get a '21 ordered, scheduled and built. (see update Granger just posted earlier)

I was going off of the information here:

This week, orders were picked up to be scheduled to the week of October 4th. I was assuming if you're still unscheduled, clean you won't be getting scheduled to a week that's earlier than October 4th. Is that not the case? My thought was there are still July orders that are not scheduled, so if there's already a 3 month gap between July orders and the latest production week, August and September orders are going to be pretty tight.

And is there no down time between MY21 to MY22 to switch over assembly lines for the 2022s?

Thanks for the info.

My interpretation is that anything unscheduled currently or ordered by the end of this month will get scheduled for Oct or Nov. Anything ordered after Sept 15th will be scheduled starting in Dec.

Not sure that they'd need to change anything major in the lines between 21 and 22 builds.

Only down time would be IF there's major changes. I HIGHLY DOUBT there will be for '22. And like I said , KCAP is 2 weeks behind DTP usually. With no major changes, they can easily switch over from '21 to '22s from Friday to Monday.

Ordered June 24. Job 2 order. My original purgatory build (ordered 2/6, built 4/1, parked til July) arrived a few weeks ago and I didn’t accept because I wanted the job 2 features and a newer build…beginning to regret my decision.

Platinum powerboost iconic silver
Dealer priority 10
701A
CCD, onboard scale, smart hitch
Trailer tow
4x4
Moonroof
Interior work surface
Lockable storage
Max recline seats

Unscheduled clean. Since it’s a job 2, it has adaptive steering included in 701A and with powerboost the auto start/stop seems necessary.

Job 2 does not include adaptive steering in 701a, job 1 did. You have to add 17a onto your build if you want adaptive steering, and it’s another $1k

This is confusing me about the adaptive steering. In the Build and Price page it lists the adaptive steering as part of the 701A High package.
Is this information from Ford false?

The site isn’t updated for job 2. There’s a job 2 order guide floating around that indicates it’s optional for kr /platinum. Your dealer should be able to chase it down for you and definitively tell you

Do you know what the adaptive steering is for? I’m hoping this means we at least get blue cruise for the extra charge…

Adaptive steering has nothing to do with blue cruise. It changes the steering ratio when going slower so you don’t have to turn the wheel quite so much when maneuvering at slow speeds. It also doesn’t affect wether your truck has adaptive cruise control or lane keep assist, it’s an entirely separate feature

Yes it is now. Although it used to be included my dealer advised that Adaptive steering was removed from the 701A pkg back in April and that it may cause scheduling to be slower so I added it to mine.
