2021 F-150 Tremor Scheduled

They should have waited until '22 to release the F150 Tremor IMO. The longer they take to get to the lots, and the closer we get to '22, I have a feeling they're going to sit. If you didn't order one, why would you buy a '21 for full MSRP , when the '22s will be available in less than 6 months? There will be deals on Tremors IMO


Another thing that makes Tremor more appealing is , price a 402a out and price out a Lariat or KR equally equipped (or a 302a XLT Sport FX4 vs 401a Tremor) . The Lariat I spec'd out was MORE than the Tremor I ordered. Yea the Lariat was rated to tow 14K# vs 10,9k for the Tremor. BUT I won't tow anywhere near either if their capabilities. On the flip side of that , the Tremor is WAY MORE off road capable than the FX4. The Tremor looks better too IMO.

Yea this is kind of what I'm kicking myself in the butt over. I just know this dealer prolly wouldn't get one in with the options I wanted on it, so order it was. But I do totally agree on the waiting till the 22' orders go up online. But like i mentioned earlier my dealer said if it goes into November don't be surprised its labeled a 2022, since there will be no differences in the 2021 to 2022 he said. I wouldn't hold my breath for this I will take it for what it is at this point I guess.

I totally agree here. I have a 7800lbs travel trailer so its well in the specs that I need. I also done the same and fully spec one out and it was cheaper and way nicer in looks IMO.

They would have to reorder it as a '22 if they go to balance out before you got a Vin#. '22 production isn't going to start up (tentatively) until 12/06 at DTP (later at KCAP BUT Tremor is DTP only). So there is still LOTS of time left to build '21s. The big push is going to be to get customer orders out first. Order banks for '21 will be closing very soon. There will be some changes for '22, but nothing major. Maybe just some colors added or taken away.

At this point, you are either willing to wait for the truck or you are not. If we wanted a different F150, we would have probably gotten it by now. I know I personally ordered a Lariat in April, then upgraded to a Platinum 2 weeks later before the end of April (which would arrive in 2 days btw), and went with the truck I really wanted, the AMB Tremor on June 30. It will make a great Christmas gift I'm sure.

Curious to see how everyone will weigh in on this option to remove auto start/stop in order to build customer ordered trucks sooner. Do you think choosing to retain the auto start/stop function will significantly delay builds even further now that those that choose to remove it will be prioritized first?

Considering how relatively unpopular auto start stop is, I'd say not so much.

I guess it may be a situation where people who hate it can get theirs built without and more components available for people who wish to retain it. Hopefully everyone comes out happy and slightly sooner? Here in DC metro stop and go traffic can get pretty serious, so having auto start/stop seemed kinda okay. Is it something that can be turned off easily when not needed? Or is it something that I have to use a OBD tool to turn off and on?

I was just built yesterday. With an ETA OF 45 days(9/17). Wish I was given the choice. I don’t care for the feature either. Maybe I would have gotten my truck sooner. ??‍

Yes you have an option where you hit a button to turn it off or on, however it defaults back to on every time the vehicles ignition is shut off. The other option is Forscan and that is not necessarily an novice option.

Contacted my dealer this morning, he was already aware of the order change for Auto Stop Start and is getting it added. I guess 1 point for the chip shortage helping me out a bit lol

I'm curious to see how many people are going to delete the auto stop/start? My truck is too old for that new fangaldee tech so I have no experience. Would I miss it if I ordered it without start/stop?
