sun state?I actually got a tip from someone on this forum and called them up, sure enough they beat x plan so I ordered. I actually found 1 dealer that was a little more off, but the dealer I ordered through includes a lifetime powertrain warranty as well.
10/31/21 ETA updated today to 8/5/21. Still shows in production.
Ordered 10/22/20 . Production date 4/23/21.
Looks like parked truck are finally starting to move.
If you're talking about sunstate Ford in orlando, I wouldn't go to them. They tried to change the price on me at time of finalizing my order. And then didn't care when I pointed it outsun state?
I bought my 2016 from them, the finance office was brutal…killed the excitement of my new truck real quick! If you're talking about sunstate Ford in orlando, I wouldn't go to them. They tried to change the price on me at time of finalizing my order. And then didn't care when I pointed it out
Most dealers do in fact give me that shit taste in my mouth and i can pick them out of the crowd real quick. This is going to be my 28th Ford, plus a few other brands. I've dealt with all dealers within a 1 hour drive from me several times and would never buy from any of them again. My dealer of choice for the last 12 or so vehicles is a small rural area Family run Ford dealership. Unbelievably honest and no pressure whatsoever. Good dealers are hard to find, but if you do, keep them even if you move away from them.I bought my 2016 from them, the finance office was brutal…killed the excitement of my new truck real quick!
Well said. I have two Ford dealerships near me. There's one that feel like I need to take a shower after leave them and the other, like you said, is a smaller family run, no pressure dealership. Guess which one I buy my vehicles from.....Most dealers do in fact give me that shit taste in my mouth and i can pick them out of the crowd real quick. Lol, I’m a grown damn man yet for some reason I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting on delivery of this truck. FULL DISCLOSURE….I’m a lifelong GM/Chevy guy. This will be my first F-150. I wanted to do the right thing for my community & local economy so I ordered from my local Ford dealer. Made a verbal $$$ agreement & handshake (oh-oh) with salesman and ordered exactly what I wanted. LESSON LEARNED. Now, with truck expected hopefully in a matter of weeks, my local dealers GM tells me be that because of the inventory issues Ford dealers are facing, they will not be honoring my originally agreed to drive out price back in late February. They now will want $2500 OVER sticker price. Very professional I must say. I tell them I sympathize with them. I say that if I “walked in off the street today” I would understand the price metrics on a truck sitting on their lot. It’s called supply & demand. I truly do understand. But that’s not what the financial environment was at the time of my order. Anyway, we won’t know until my truck comes in but I know all the ace cards are in the dealerships hand. If I want the truck I’ve got to pay more. If I tell dealer to piss off, then the worse case scenario is the dealer gets a new F-150 to put on his lot for $2500 over window & I’ve waited 6 months for nothing. Thank God I did not sell my exist truck. Was I wrong for not putting a deposit down & signing a contract…of course. However, I’ve ordered 5 previous vehicles and ordered all but 1 of them on a handshake. NEVER was an issue. The point to this long and “whinny/tearful“ post is I agree, once you find a good dealer hang onto him. Most dealers do in fact give me that shit taste in my mouth and i can pick them out of the crowd real quick. If my dealer would want $2500 OVER sticker, or even just change the agreed on price at time of order, I'd let him have it and sell it to some other schmuck. Not only that, but I'd go do business elsewhere. I been waiting for my truck too and my excitement is virtually nil at this point. Matter of fact, i been thinking of cancelling anyways and ordering some 2022, Tremor maybe.Lol, I’m a grown damn man yet for some reason I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting on delivery of this truck. Yeah, they would F-off. My dealer honored our deal on the one I picked up 6/22 (3/16 order) and plans to honor the same deal on the one with ETA 7/25 (3/16) order but there are dealers in the area charging $5k over MSRP for "market adjustment" or "convenience fee" even on agreed-upon deals. My dealer said, "we are in it for the long game, not short-term profit". Good luck and I hope they honor their word. On that note, I have seen some complain that the dealer isn't honoring their deal while at the same time griping that the dealer won't give them more for their trade as the value has gone up. In my opinion, a deal is a deal and both sides should honor their agreement or neither side should.Lol, I’m a grown damn man yet for some reason I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting on delivery of this truck.
