I am about to do an install on this @WOLFBOX G900 Tri Pro that came with the hardwire kit and the extended rearview camera cable.
A few pictures of the unboxing and my 2 cents.
It came very well packed. It was a lot bigger than expected in a good way
I really like how big it is compared to other smaller dash cams and the voice control sounds fun.
A quick glimpse of the functions on the mirror
Pics of the hard wire kits and extended rearview camera cable view camera wire.
Both seem nice and thick and has lots of fuse options that are just plug and play.
I pulled out everything this morning
Front camera comes with a long cord already and you can see the rear camera bracket in the back.
Next up is the rear camera, car charger with power cord if you didn’t get the hardwired kit.
And the user manual with installation tips and guides.
To mount the new mirror over the OEM mirror you just use the straps that come with the kit. IMO it is not the cleanest look so I bought the windshield mount kit that is optional. The camera on the back side of the mirror gets in the way of the OEM mirror so it mounts off center but you don’t notice while driving.
The camera on the back is adjustable like a swivel.
There are a lot of wires coming of the top of the mirror but if you hide them well enough you don’t really notice them.
I ran the GPS down the passenger pillar to the dash. Seems to be okay but might move it
I used the hard wire kit and toped into these two fuse location's and used the ground next to the panel. Very easy to install with the wire taps. To connect the wires from the mirror you just plug them into the end of the taps. I would have a few extra fuses on hand just incase one breaks. I had one come apart
I zip tied the extra wires together
There is a rubber plug under the passenger carpet that I cut a hole in to run the front and rear camera wires and used some silicone to make it weather proof again.
All done and looking back to normal
Here are the wires coming out from under the carpet. I can the rear camera wire along the top of the frame rail to keep it away from the exhausts. The front camera wire I can along the right side frame rail to the underside of the front bumper.
The rear camera wire has the option to tap into the reverse wire so it will come on when you put it in reverse. I have chosen not to use that option yet. Taped and zip tied all loose and unused wires. For the rear camera cord install remember longer is better even if you have to coil the extra wire up under the truck to use later if you want to mount it to a trailer.
I really struggled getting the rear camera on the mounting bracket
I don't really care for how far it sticks off from the rear plate but I will get used to it.
The front camera I mounted to the bottom of the plastic plate holder.
This is what you see when it first comes on. It makes a loading sound that I cant figure out yet on how to get rid of it.
Ton's of option as you can see
Touch screen is great and it has several voice commands. You can tell it to save video and take pictures.
List of the voice commands
The Front lower camera view is great
All you need to do to change view's is swipe to the left. Or use voice commands.
Split screen of the two front camera views.
Great view of all the camera's together.
I will post a full screen picture of the rear view soon.
I got the optional mirror mount so I can get rid of the stock mirror. Much cleaner install.
Super easy to install this and you use the screws that are on the back side of the mirror. You remove the rubber parts to get to them.
