I'm a 1000 miles away and just ordered one. The price was better than local and they still have the price protection. Something my local dealer wouldn't do. Hell, they will even pick you up at the airport.

Total pleasure buying experience. They picked me up, Financing dept took about 10 minutes, Chip and I went over the truck for about 45 minutes, handshake then on the road home and put about 350 miles on her before a stop for the night.

Internet selling is what these guys do best and as long as you understand that, you should have a great experience as many others have had here.

I received a KR quote from them a few days ago. I'm probably going to finalize the order this coming week.

I'm also in the Austin area. I can buy the extended warranty with the savings from buying with Granger.

Placed my order for a King Ranch with Granger and it was accepted by Ford today.

I sent a build for a quote on a 2026 Platinum this afternoon. Waiting for reply now. I'm in Phoenix. If I can't get Phoenix dealer to match, I'll go with Granger.

I currently have a 2018 Platinum and I could drive there (1500 miles) and trade it, or I could sell outright and fly there and drive it home.

- has anyone ever worked a long distance deal with Granger involving a trade?​

- Is putting 1500 highway miles on a new truck a bad idea?​

- I would expect this is a 3 - 6 month wait.​

I have not trading in a vehicle but I do there are a couple here who have. If they are still here. It typically is not done as that is really is not the business model for Granger, but a few have done it.

Most people, me included, just sell it outright locally and fly there.

Nothing wrong with putting miles on it for the drive home. Make a road trip out of it and do not try to set any speed records and it will be fine. My drive home was 1100+ miles and did about 350 the first day, 550 the second day and 250 on the third getting home for lunch. Flight, hotels, gas and food cost under $900.

IMO you should expect at least a 6 month wait unless you get you lucky, which you may, and if it comes in early that will be a bonus.

Had the same number of miles, only I did it in two days and TBH - putting miles on it for bringing it home, IMO, is actually good.

Not knowing who to deal with specifically, I sent an email to the general email of the dealership on Friday. I was contacted by Ms. Samantha this morning, and within a couple of emails, the order was in. E-mail from Ford was received within minutes after Granger's confirmation email.
