Mine is 19. I have seen to many conflicting stories about the importance of the code.

The differences in the normal range of codes (10-19) is very little. It just sets priority of orders within that dealer. I had a code 19 and got my truck 7 weeks from order to delivery - it means nothing.
The really high priority codes do seem to make a legitimate difference in getting schedules quicker, but those can only be set by regional reps when there’s the need to really fix a bad situation etc.

I ordered on 4/16, and as of a week ago I still had no VIN. Had my sales rep escalate to regional rep who supposedly changed my priority code to a 1. Still no VIN as of 6 days from the priority code change.

I ordered on 3/27 and took 4 weeks to get a vin. No I update for a build date at all and no ETA. (F150 XLT 5.0 FX4).

I ordered 18 Sept 2020, went into production 18 march. Today it changed to built awaiting shipment, I'm happy, but not the way to buy a truck!

I'm excited for mine but there is no way I wait that long. I need to buy something this year.

I jumped in and placed an order with my dealer last night for a 21 PB Lariat. I realize I am in for the long haul but what are the first steps I should expect to hear back on? The dealer said everything was submitted yesterday but I have not heard anything from Ford. How long does it take to get that first email from Ford saying I'm "in the system"?

My Lariat just arrived at my dealership late last week. Should be ready to pick up in a day or two. Ordered Jan 31st, and my dealer told me then to plan on 16 weeks. Ended up being 21. Completely out of my control and worth the wait. Be shocked if it’s under 12 weeks.

I can live with 16 or 21 as long as its in year. I would hate to wait until Christmas but like you said...its out of my control.

Congrats on your order. I'm in Canada and placed my order for a Platinum (3.5 EB, Max tow Package, Interior work surface, in short the problematic options) around mid-March and I'm still not in the system... a little over 3 months later!!

I ordered on 6/11 and haven't heard anything regarding VIN yet. It's still unscheduled/clean. I'm guessing it'll be Octoberish before it's here.

No, I didn’t get any feedback other than a March scheduled build date from my salesman that came and went because of shutdowns and chip issues. The actual build date was mid June and it was delivered on the 24th of June.

Mine is 19 with order 3/12 and guess delivery of 8/7. Loaded Lariat.

Ford will not contact you about your order. They don't even contact the dealer. The dealer has an order system that they can get most of the information needed.

Lol, zero connections with anyone at Ford, just walked in on 4/13 to place an order for a truck and it showed up on 6/1. Had a bunch of the stuff everyone claimed slowed things down as well (Moonroof, PowerBoost, spray-in liner). No special requests were made, escalations, etc. Most people who ordered after early April that were destined for Dearborn seem to have been following pretty similar timelines, it’s not just me.

Ordered mine on 5-13 and just got VIN on 6-21. No word on build date yet. Still in order processing at Kansas plant. 6 weeks and counting so far….

ordered mine the same day and my dealer gave me a build date of week of aug 2nd.

Dealer (priority) codes are from 10-19. Thus (guessing) why July wasn’t mentioned. Where did you see the priority code?
