@mshipway Funny you brought this up. I currently own 2013 White F150 and have a LeadFoot on order. I had the opportunity to purchase one off the lot this weekend but it was white. I love my white truck but am just looking forward to a change. Plus, it seems more and more "company" trucks in my area are white now, so I am looking to break away from that.

I chose leadfoot too. My current is Ruby Red and there are WAY TOO MANY of them around here. Only way I can tell mine from anyone elses is the Army "This We'll Defend" verteran cap and the bull bar on the front. The previous (2006 F150) was Wedgewood Blue and finally gave up on my son last month....he blew 2 plugs out of the block on the way home from work with 300,000+ miles on it.

No, not silence. It's "talk to your dealer"

But we really never realized how incompetent the dealers are, until now.
Are the dealers incompetent or are they getting the same run around we are?

My order came in. The original ETA from when the order was received was may 13, jumped to June 13 then about a week before arrival, July 22. It was in “production” for a few weeks before Changing to awaiting shipment and then another week before “shipped”. So statuses were kept up to date and the dealer gave me daily location updates while the truck was transported by Rail.
My experience with the whole process really hasn’t been as bad as some of the people on this thread.
I’ll try to get a couple pictures on Monday. Couldn’t actually drive it home Friday night because we were too late to get in to the registers/insurance office.
Good for you. Makes things sound a little promising. Where you ever on that 10/31/21 ETA?

I think this process has made folks like me realize that every dealer doesn't provide the same level of customer service. You have the good the bad, and the ugly with dealers as we have with anything else in life.
Some of us who have dealers providing us with weekly/monthly status updates without asking them to do it.

Some of us have dealers that claim they never heard of a vehicle visibility report or will not provide customers with the information from the report (screenshot or reading off the information). Both of these situations are terrible.

I also think it helps to remember that prior to 2021, custom truck orders were a very small portion of a dealers sales compared to selling right off the lot. The lack of inventory has driven custom orders thru the roof. Also, prior to this year, a custom order was completed in 6-8 weeks so there was no need for all this "where is my truck" information requests. Most dealers were caught off guard. Some adjusted to provide better customer service, some did not.

Dealer called and confirmed my truck was delivered around noon today. I'll be heading over after work to check it out. ETA of 7/8, Shipped 6/15. 13 days in transport from Dearborn to Delaware!

Congrats! What was your production day and did your ETA ever go to Halloween?

has anyone heard anything about the flooding in Dearborne? Think it affected any trucks sitting? I am almost hopeful mine is flooded which would force Ford to rebuild.

Everything I had viewed suggested the trucks are ok as they are on higher ground. That is what I have been reading anyways.

No, never actually made it there. I’m thinking that’s because I snuck in on may 01 for production.
Good for you!!! I have a April 26 build date and have been moved to 10/31 ETA

Not to worry. Ford has a plan for this.
Just leave it sitting in the baking sun all summer long and will dry right out.
Good as new.

Also 4 - 6" of calm flood water wouldn't be too detrimental but look ugly. 2-4" of raging flood water can make an even bigger mess! Without seeing it in action, hard to say.
