For reference, I ordered 2/26 and still do not have a VIN assigned. I talked to my sales manager Monday and he has no better idea what is going on than any of us do. His comment was that it might come in September or maybe in October, he really doesn’t know…..

This seems a bit more honest than his original prediction that it would be ready by early May.

I ordered prior to 3/31 and did receive an order receipt date of 3/31, vin, order number and projected date from my salesperson. On the website it shows 3/31 as the order confirmation and that is it. So you should have at least a confirmation of order from your dealer. I had to ask my dealer the status and he informed me the 6/7 projected completion date was pushed back to 7/19. This is not helpful when you have to chase them for information. In any event, you should have something on the Ford site that acknowledges your order, otherwise I would call the sales manager there and say what's up with this!

If he cannot give you a vin number that’s a problem, if vehicle was ordered there is a vin assigned within 10 days of order , if dealer cannot give you vin , you need a new dealer or they did not order any vehicle and there trying to sell you a higher price lot vehicle , sounds like crap to me , I am Mechanic for a utility company we buy 500 to 600 a years and our dealer works real hard to keep us happy. if you get a vin and order number give to me and I will check production date if they ordered it.

At this point, the price I have locked in is so good, I think I have to stick it out and hope for the best. Also, I ordered a 2.7L, I have heard that is where the longest waits are.

Looked it up and there is NO start date yet , Jeanne , it shows march 31 2021 , nothing else, this dealer needs to pushed , or you need to check what vehicles are hitting the lots , check you need to have list , use Ford truck build and go out 100 miles from your zip code , no window sticker either, this is very strange for a March order? , it shows Marchese Ford , vin viewer shows 302a package , black gloss rims. , 275/65R18 tires, . Color rapid red , xlt

Yes and thank you. They told me the build was pushed out to July 19 but still nothing on the web site.

I went on line this morning and they gave me the BS line of how this is covid. They must tell them to just say that and say nothing more. All they could tell me was it was being "processed" and it was in the Missouri pipeline--nothing else. Not sure but Dearborn seems to be making so much more progress and order dates (after mine) are being built and delivered. I know I am not the only one in purgatory but it sure feels disheartening to spend so much freakin' money on a truck and not getting one.

Try Ford of northhampt they have a rapid red . Okay , I checked 90 miles away from zip 12118 . Check Ford.com. Never Ford has a rapid red 302a xlt , and B&O stereo .
