I have a new '25 F150 on the way. Would a '24 shifter work there, or will a '25 be needed?

Finally home with the 3D printer so I can quickly interate. I've printed 11 revisions today, but I finally got the shifter fitting snuggly into the bin, and the cover to fit perfectly on top of the shifter. The cover proved to be exceedingly challenging for an amateur CAD guy like myself due to the taper it required. I'm going to do the first full print overnight. All the iterations I printed today were partial pieces just to test fit.

We’re you able to clear those and return to normal?Well... in the '24, the Expy shifter "works" as-in the truck operated... but there's all these warnings.
But it functioned. Any idea about how to use it and get rid of the warnings?

Seems at least 3 of us had the same idea today. I put in my ‘22 and no issues with any codes. Opened the door in drive and it spins to park. Only difference is mine does not have the “Drive mode” button.Funny I did the same thing just about 30 minutes ago!
can confirm in 21’s it will work
I’m half tempted to get the empty bin from Ford and just lay this in there until I get the proper piece.

Just keep it in the console. It only takes a few minutes to pop the trim off and swap the plug if you get stuck. I ordered one for my 21 last night. It’s supposed to be from a 21 Expedition. I’m hoping to get it early next week before I go out of town.

Yes... just plugged the oem shifter back in, and it was back to normal.

The last 2 numbers on the part number are usually just revision numbers that could be related to either design or hardware components.
That being said the most up to date part number for the rotary dial without the drive mode button is LL1Z-7P155-J.
