Hello, So I installed this Ford Performance Leveling kit and notice the top may have adjustment? Is this adjustment for caster or camber? Input appreciated.

I got mine on a scratch and dent sale from stage 3 motorsports an it arrived in perfect condition (the box not so much) which made it less cost than the bilsteins and I didn’t have to buy a nicer reservoir mount. The bilsteins just come with a hose clamp type versus the billet aluminum clamp from Ford. The FP is slightly larger diameter and the dealership never questions anything for warranty work which makes it worth it to me.

They’ve made some changes that I never realized. The Ford performance version now has the reservoir welded on the body and just seems a bit cheaper to me.

I made a whole topic on it and it appears there was issues with leaking leading to the design. So you were on to something! I like how it came out though. Put that kit and the Raptor steering wheel in yesterday.

I don’t think it actually matters which side is up function wise on our type of suspension but I would still mount them according to the directions. I’d be more worried about something damaging the reservoir with it hanging low. If you flip them and are worried about dirt/damage you could put a boot or rock guard on. I prefer no boot because they just seem to gather dirt and moisture for me.

You want them as in the instructions so that the open oil bath is always on the seal. At least I think it has an open oil bath

I installed the ford performance leveling kit today the top hats were installed wrong luckily I had a spring compressor so I could clock them so the 3 studs would line up with the holes on the frame. Seems like a solid kit even came with new nuts and bolts

How were able to determine the top hat was installed wrong? Wouldn’t you just spin it around until the nuts lined up right?
