My ETA of 4/9 was finally updated to 10/31, like most everyone else. If the actual date ends up being near 10/31, that will make for a really tough decision. Can't say I would be too excited to buy a "new" truck that not only sat in the lot for 7 months, but was also completed in a non-standard way. Warranty aside, any little issue that came up would have me concerned that incremental completion was the cause.

Not to mention I have the moonroof. For all I know, the inside has already been flooded from a blocked drainage tube during each rainfall.

Today I put extended warranty on my 2018, warranty ran out in January and today was a price cutoff. Had a printout from flood ford 50 deductable 100,000 8 years premium care 2000, my dealer asked for 2100, I said that was better than I expected!
He said I had been through enough it was the least he could do!
Felt good that they acknowledged the problem!
He said are you giving up on the 2021? I said my down payment is still in effect, I should have right of refusal, he agreed and said the order is still in my name.

and how about mice, bird crap cooking into the paint severe weather, hail, Batteries half dead can’t wait to see what they try to pass off to us, one year old model year trucks, at new model year pricing.

Pisses me off that these trucks could come in August or September, we know the situation and really look them over, if we decide to walk away dealer stands to make more money from an unsuspecting customer! Like with flood damage clean it up, throw out the half eaten tuna sandwich left there by a "tech", don't want someone thinking the new car smell was installed by the cowboy cheerleaders!
But I believe flood damage has to be documented!

Well my tracker changed yesterday to an ETA of 10/31. I don’t believe I want the thing with it sitting in some parking lot for over 7 1/2 months. What a crock!!

So, thinking some more about this - clearly the 10/31 dates are not real. I'm not sure who at Ford thought it was a good idea to post a dummy date like this (especially with no customer communication), but obviously Ford isn't going to deliver 10,000+ F150's all on Halloween.


So now the question is, are these sandbagged dates... aka ... Ford will have all trucks delivered no later than 10/31 or are these dates 'day 1', aka, the 'rebuild' trucks will start being delivered around October. I'm calling these 'rebuild' trucks from now on because they'll effectively have 2 build dates. The original date and then the months later completion date. I don't care if installing this module is minor, it's still going to involve taking something apart.

If these really are sandbagged dates, which I think they are, I suspect we'll see our trucks show up around the date just prior to the 10/31 change. For me it was 7/16 -> 8/28 -> 10/31. I suspect either 7/16 or 8/28 are the real ETA. Annoyingly this makes planning tough. Like many I wanted my truck for the 2021 camping season. Then it's 'do I get new snow tires for my current truck' and then registration, etc etc. Stuff that's fine if I know a plan, but right now I don't.
