In March 2021 some overpaid pud at ford Jim Carrey I believe decided to keep the lines going and park unfinished trucks throughout Detroit without a clue how to finish them!
If this jackash would have been in charge during WWII when this country needed bombers we would all be goose stepping and wearing swastikas! They NEVER had a plan to finish our trucks, NEVER!
Oh but wait school will be out soon they can hire school kids to install chips and seats!
Total clusterfuck!
Can promise you my truck will be rigorously test driven before I sign on any lines.

This 100%. They clearly didn't have a plan in place when they started sending incomplete trucks off the line to sit in lots. If they did, well, it wasn't a very well executed one :poop:

That's exactly what I'm saying, I didn't think so at first I thought when they shut down they would work on the backlog but all they were doing was stockpiling chips to restart the line! Bastards!
If I'm wrong Jimmie get on here and talk to us instead you look like a circus clown pimping the f150E!

I made the same assumption initially, because of course that plan would make sense to everyone. This issue needs more exposure, preferably on some of the ford/truck-centric online publications. From a purely principled standpoint, I'm not okay with Ford skipping the bad PR like they skipped our trucks.

So what do y’all think about those like me whose ETA is still in the past???? Built 4/1 and ETA still shows 4/29…the fact I haven’t seen any update tells me either it will by some miracle just show up at the dealer or I won’t get it til 2022

Yeah, maybe it leaves the chance for a surprise delivery on the table. Or maybe it's related to which storage lot your truck happens to be in and which row/corner it's in. That's something that I suspect will affect the order of delivery for all purgatory trucks, whether we know about it or not.

I’m about an hour south of Dearborn and have on multiple occasions wondered what would happen if I just showed up and demanded to talk to someone in control. Hell, Maybe if I take my toolbox they would let me put some chips in. Lol.

Well, like everyone else my ETA just went from 5/29 to 8/28...shit.

I'll start looking on lots in the meantime, while I wait and see which one comes first. The deal I got on my order was below msrp, but wasn't all that great.
Here's the next thing that worries me. People from the 4/26 build week are getting pushed to the same 8/28 ETA as me, even though their build dates were more than a month after ours. I don't know how confident I am that Ford is going to finish and ship 6 weeks worth of purgatory trucks around the same time. It just makes me think that it's another bullshit ETA that won't hold.

Please do this. If it wasn't a 35 hour drive for me, I would have already gone there out of sheer furiosity (this is a new word I just made up... furious + curiosity... or curiosity propelled to greater heights by anger).

My eta says N/A. Im so sick and tired of this bullshit! The Ford customer service reps are more useless than politicians at this point too.

My order on the tracker here still says 7/16, but on shop.ford.com has moved back to 8/28. I’m pretty sure I’ve been delayed again. This might round out my experience with Ford. I’m not accepting a 2021 in September of 2021 that I ordered in October of 2020.

The only reason I’m still waiting is because of the deal I currently have. I’ve checked with other dealers on new orders/in transit stock and they laugh when I ask for invoice pricing. Even my dealer said they are no longer giving out that pricing. Ya I could place another order but another shot at the truck lottery isn’t worth the extra Gs

I see a lot of posts from people about ETA this or ETA that....In case you didn't realize, these dates are placeholders. In the grand scheme of things, they really don't mean anything. If you notice, the dates that were pushed out to Aug was simply a 90 day bump. That means they have no idea when these trucks are going to be completed. Maybe they get completed sooner, maybe later.

I saw a interview where the executives were saying they are literally going day by day and don't know how many semiconductors they are getting until they show up on the dock. At this point, I would not even consider these ETA dates a "best guess". I would consider them a "well we have to enter something, lets put it 90 days out" type of date.

WE ALL... need to just start placing 2nd orders with other dealers.

When one shows up, cancel the other one.

My truck is scheduled for the week of 6/7. I'm giving them ONE WEEK leeway. Any more than that and I'm placing a new order with another dealer

MAYBE TWO!
I’m not trying to be a dick, but what would ordering a new one accomplish? I’m curious

Because some weeks such as seemingly a vast majority of the trucks in May..... built just 5 days after mine have already shipped and are being driven around town by their happy owners a week or two later. I think the idea is that our parking lot missing chip trucks arent going anywhere soon, but some newer builds are flying right through and being immediately shipped, thus maybe a new order will too!?
