What doesn't make sense about it? Cattle is raised, slaughtered and processed, and then sold for its flesh. What happens to the hide? Thrown out in most cases I would assume. The price of the cow already includes the gross weight, including the hide, hooves, skeleton and whatever other undesirables.
When did Ford get into the cattle farming and rendering business? They don't own the cattle, so they don't own the hide. Hence, it is not FREE.

I guess I figured that the cost of processing the already available and never-ending supply of hides was already implied, but I'll do better next time of spelling it out for you.

I'd been recently looking at 25's and I definitely did not notice the buttons/blanks... the one thing I did notice but I had said to myself that I wanted to go and check on (and never did) was that the head rest speakers from my 21 were no longer there, and this thread confirms that. They've always appeared to be really passive/low volume so I'm not sure how much they contributed but at the very least they upped the cool factor...

Deployables are usually an option on 502A.
As far as I can tell from order guides, 2023 was the last year you could get them on a Lariat. They don't show as an option in the 2024 and 2025 order guides like they do in the 2023 order guide. The online builder won't let you option them on a Lariat anymore either.

The lease on my 2022 is coming up in May, was planning on buying a 2024 while some were still around to avoid the deletes/price increase of 2025, but I decided to go the purchase option route on my existing, I am one of the lucky ones that really hasnt had many issues with my Powerboost, still has original 12V battery/no power gremlins, 60K miles, just a couple basic recalls is it. 2 of the biggest deletes that drove my decision was the Bed Camera, and Glare Free Headlight capabilities

No, leather is not "free". That doesn't even make sense.
When your goal is to rable rouse, using inane arguments like "leather is free" to fan the flames makes perfect sense (in his world)

Here is what I noticed when I was at Courtesy Ford checking out the new Lariat '25s 502A.

- OLED temperature indicators in the climate dials are gone
- Several buttons from the top rack above the screen have been moved / deleted so there is a bunch of blanks
- Fog lamps are the cheaper bulb kind instead of LED
- Front Lights look cheaper
- 18 speaker stereo is now down to 14 speakers (headrest speakers gone)

Something about the interior feels "cheaper" / more plasticky

What did I miss?
As far as the temperature indicators go, I find the new location to be more than suitable..but I will agree that in the knobs was "cooler"

In what way was what I said, a politically motivated response? The leather is "free "statement only implied that it was a wasted byproduct of beef production. Stay in your lane, boomer

They are a part of the "18 speaker B&O unleashed" package...

you're right, what was I thinking, they should be passing out full length leather coats and red wing boots on street corners

Better than installing the Chinesium pleather that we get now. Obviously, Ford or any other manufacturer would have to pay for the finished leather, I simply meant that the material is already available, and already being discarded after the fact, or after the purchase of the livestock. so, it is free in that sense, because beef producers throw the hides in the garbage.

Leather is not free. Ford has to pay for it. You disagree with that?

It's NOT being discarded. It's being SOLD (again, not free) to companies that produce many, many products out of it.

if you used Apple Music wired with hi-res audio you definitely notice it. Sounds like Clapton is sitting in the room with you.
