Dealer installed wrong aftermarket grill

Hello all. Recently I went to my local Ford dealer and ordered a raptor grill to put on my ‘23 Lariat. I wanted the grill to match the rest of the BAP so got it painted.

Wasn’t until I got home and began admiring the work when my dad pointed out the grill had a space for a front camera, which my truck does not have.

Now that I see it, I can’t unsee it. And I’m a little annoyed. I remember the parts guy specifically asking if my old grill had a camera on it or not which I had responded ‘no’ to. Now I’m stuck with no answers until next week when the guy gets back from vacation. Really hoping they get me a correct replacement grill without me having to pay for that one too

Looking at the Order Guide it seems the Raptor gets Ford Co-Pilot 360 Technology with 360-degree cameras as standard equipment.

So, wouldn't it make sense that all Raptor grilles have provisions for the front cam?

The parts guy probably didn't think about that when they sked about yuor cam.

Methinks you're gonna have to live with it, part of the consequence of a Raptor grille.

Hmm that could be the case. Raptor grills for the standard F150s are aftermarket though since they won’t fit if it’s OEM from Ford due to the width. I did find NP Motorsports though with the exact same grill and you have to choose camera vs no camera. Thought I was saving hassle going through the dealer and turned into an even bigger headache

That could be the case. I didn’t think an OEM raptor grill could fit a regular F150 due to the width, so was under the impression they were giving me an aftermarket hence the camera vs no camera question parts initially asked

I hear yea. Still looks great. Look at it this way could be a more noticeable issue.

Install a camera and activate it with Forscan...

I'm assuming this can be done.

I think people are confused that you had a Ford dealer install a EBay grill. The grill isn’t an actual Raptor grill so it makes sense that there would be some confusion. The dealer just ordered the wrong fake Raptor grill and that’s up to you and the dealer to figure up but I assume you signed off on some paperwork.

Me being stupid I'll ask. Why doesn't a lariat have a front camera? It has the bumper parking sensors. It just beeps when you get close to something? Something they did away with for that year?

Yes in some weird packages the camera was deleted...covid and supply manure
Is still rampant.
I didn't think about it being a fake raptor grill
