So... had a "feeling" after seeing a tracker update of 6/20, but with no update (still says "Built 6/12"), that something was up. I decided to grab a shower and head up to the dealership to see what VinView says. I noticed a car carrier unloading trucks and.... !!!!

I've got more pics and a walk-around video that I'll post later.

No interior pics yet. Everything was covered in plastic, and the floor mat and drivers side door had mud all over it (including the textured "fabric" portions). That should be fun for their detailer to clean. :teehee: I'm just pretending that I never saw it (hence I didn't take pics on purpose. lol)

The seats look/feel awesome though!! Max-Recline Smoked Truffle FTW!!

@SingleSpeed427 Please post pictures of your Smoked Truffle.
I didnt' take any pics of the interior. Maybe I'll run in tomorrow and take the plastic off of the driver's seat and take a pic. I probably won't have the truck in my hands until mid-next week at the earliest.

I know all the cool kids already received their trucks or they are confirmed in-transit. I believe I am the final hold out on this 4/29/2024 build week thread. It's been 7+ weeks since my 02 MAY blend and 03 MAY Production. The last update was 09 MAY via Email "Your Vehicle is Still being Built."
We want to provide you with the latest update on your F‑150 Lariat® vehicle order. We’ve made great progress on your new Ford vehicle but have unfortunately experienced unexpected delays.

That makes today, 23 JUN, 45 days since the last update to which I received the dreaded "We're still building your Vehicle" email...

Is anyone else still a hold out or am I the Lone Ranger? All attempts to understand exactly what the issue is have led to the same results, "It is in Production...continue to check the tracker. "

If there is any hope, the Tracker went to "Last updated 6/23/2024" even though nothing moved status wise.

That's what mine did 2 days before it arrived at the dealership.

Can you call the dealership and have them send you a picture of the most recent entries of the "Updates" tab and the "Diagnostics" tab in Vin View? I'd be curious to see what exactly it says and how it compared to mine. (Might not be worth the hassle at this point.. sounds like you're close).

Was yours still "In production" when it did that? I never progressed to "Built" on the tracker even though VIN View showed the truck go from Blend into Production out of Production over to Ground Effects and then back to Production where it has sat since 03 MAY in VIN View.

I'll poke the dealership today.

After just short of 6 months of waiting, my pickup arrived at Granger on 6/18. My tracker never did work very well, so it was a nice surprise when Chip called and told me it had just showed up.

Shelby reached out the next day about getting the paperwork going, and she even tracked down $3,440 in rebates. Final invoice was right at $12k below the MSRP on the sticker (went up a couple times during my waiting period).

The whole process took maybe 30-40 minutes at Granger. Handed them a check, signed one form, spent the rest of the time looking the truck over and having Chip explain a few things. Des Moines airport was easy to fly into and Granger is about a 30-minute drive from the airport (I had to grab an Uber since they don’t do pickups on Saturday).

I have a couple young kiddos at home, so I didn’t waste much time getting home as far as the road trip goes. Took a nice two-lane trip through the sandhills of Nebraska to hopefully vary speed a bit and get a better break-in, was home before midnight on the same day.

All in all, the best vehicle purchasing experience I’ve ever had.

Thanks to all you folks on here for the information along the way. Not sure how anyone would navigate Ford’s ridiculous order and tracking process without a group like this.

Congratulations on your truck! I know you have been waiting along time too. That’s great savings, the $12K below MSRP. In three years I’ll have to reach out to them for my next truck.

FWIW, this is what my tracker said when I was sitting at the dealership BSing with Chip and staring at my truck. Don’t trust the tracker.

The dealer told me today that the PowerBoost has a recall as of 6/18. It is regarding the misfire software, which doesn't affect drivability. Two modules need a software update.

Per the document he read, any new PowerBoost cannot be delivered until the software update is completed. The software is not available yet when the technician logs onto the server. So, my KR sits in the bullpen waiting for software. I can't even test-drive it.

All other PowerBoosts will be fixed when they come in for any other service or a recall letter later this year.
