I Went through the same exact thing. Between that and a $15,000 Toyota tax premium and no wiggle room I quickly ditched that idea. I can make a lot of repairs for $15,000.
I didn't believe the first two dealers, then I got a hold of more...and talked to friends that had newer Toyota vehicles. All responses aligned. What blew my mind was the dealers said they had no idea what was coming in or when anything was coming in until a carrier showed up. Toyota corporate had an algorithm that determined what region and then what dealer received a specific build. I also got p!ssed because I would send the dealers a pdf of a specific build and they would respond with something that didn't even closely resemble that build. They all said the 6.5ft bed and TRD package were the hard to find options and the North East region rarely saw Orange color. Yes, $10K-$15K delta buys a lot of warranty and post-warranty coverage; and at this price tier I don't want to settle.

On the tracking website, mine was originally indicating a window of 6/2 to 6/15...it updated a short while ago to 6/4 to 6/17.

I received confirmation yesterday from Ford chat that the truck was received at the Juntion Point (Union Pacific Railroad) in Chicago, with an anticipated delivery date at the dealership between 6/5 and 6/11.

Had a similar update... i was 6/5-6/18 before and now its showing 6/8-6/21. Weirdly the Last Update Date didn't change

I canceled my order for the Lariat after waiting for seven m
onths. Went to the GMC dealer last week and walked away with a 2024 Sierra Denali in three days. Sitting in my garage. I totally gave up on Ford. Here's a picture of it in the garage. Good luck to all who are still waiting.

And Ford Marketing has no update today either lol
Same answer here. The amount of times I’ve heard “in production, sent offsite”…

Gerry - Sorry you had to give up on Ford, but that is a nice looking rig you have parked in a very nice garage....

Congratulations.

Called Ford Marketing yesterday evening and got in touch with a very helpful agent this go 'round. He tracked the railcar and confirmed the train was, "in Birmingham".

As Bessemer (where T&C Ford resides) is essentially a suburb of B'ham, it's now a question of how quickly they offload the train (hopefully overnight last night) and transport the few miles to the dealership.

There is a reasonable chance I'll be signing paperwork tomorrow. Will have to see how the day unfolds...

Great news! I trust you will provide us all with pictures. Guess I will give Marketing a call, wish Ford could just get their act together and provide more information via their online tracker. I laugh everytime Ford Chat tells me to monitor the tracker.

I'm going to run up to the dealer later today... just for fun, and take a look at their screens.

Just got a call from Ford Marketing that my truck has been cleared for delivery and is expected to arrive at Granger from June 23rd to June 29th! No changes on the tracker yet but I'll take the good news!

Edit: It did update in VinView though.

Thank you and FYI this was a hard decision for me to make. I have been a Ford guy for over 50 years (have a very close friend that has a dealership). I felt bad that I had to cancel my order with him, but he totally understood, very sad situation. The GMC is a nice truck, but not the Ford I wanted. Going to take me sometime to get used to the GMC functions. Hope you get your truck soon. Thanks again.

Nice!! Tracker will be 1-2 days behind from what I have seen. I dare say I am impressed that Ford reached out to you to provide you an update. That Marketing team does seem to be a good group of people.

I agree. They all at least attempt to be helpful, even if they truly don’t know how to look any further into something.

The most productive gal I ever talked to was named Lorraine. She knew how much I knew about the process and didn’t mind pulling up everything she could get her hands on. At the end she offered to keep an eye on it and call me if it changed, and she did just that.

Definitely owe her a bottle of whiskey for following up!
