I ordered a 501A Lariat on 9/22/23, went into production 1/18/24, and still in production status today. Dealer checked two weeks ago and Ford told them it would be released on 3/6 and ship. But that date has now come and gone with no change from Ford. I’m now considering ordering another Lariat with 502A now and also get the PAT. I mean if I did that at this point, I’d probably only be waiting an additional month or two than I would for the Lariat I ordered in September of 23! If there were any 23 Platinum Powerboosts left around here I’d probably just go buy one of those. Seeing good discounts on 23s now.

Using the numbers from this article - "Ford F-150 production Rebounded in February 2024" https://fordauthority.com/2024/03/ford-f-150-production-rebounded-in-february-2024/ I calculate the following production numbers for 2024 F150s that have been built - Dec. 36,319, Jan. 26,368, and Feb. 52,775, for a total of 115,462. That's a lot of parked trucks. Just how long do you think it will take to do "quality checks" on that many trucks and get them shipped? Suspect those of us who placed orders early and had our trucks built, only to be put in storage, will be waiting quite a while before we will see them. Sure seems like Ford is playing numbers games, pushing trucks off the Assembly line so they can count it as a sale, but not really selling them to the customer so they can try and sell off all the excess inventory of unsold 2023 models, that were probably overbuilt so they could continue to claim the title of "best-selling truck". I read a recent article that explained that sales numbers are based on the number of trucks built, and not the number that are actually sold to a real customer. Then it clicked, Farley appears to be playing a numbers game and got stuck with excess 2023 inventory, but still wants to "sell" (build) large quantities of 2024's to keep the "best-selling" title, and force people who need a new truck to buy up the leftover 2023's because they can't get a 2024. Remember the good old days when the next model year vehicle would start selling in September/October time frame, and you ordered a vehicle, it was built, then shipped to the dealer, and sold to you, without sitting in a storage lot for months? I guess this new way of doing business will take some getting used to.

Note 6th paragraph - " One key issue for Ford is the importance of producing as many vehicles as possible, because they're recorded as a sale for the automaker when they leave the factory, not when they leave the dealership, noted John McElroy, veteran automotive analyst and host of the "Autoline After Hours" podcast and webcast. I do find it strange that the 2 guys who have already received their 24s (rcsb), ordered them in January. Plenty of us ordered way before that. I guess with everything else these days, it's no longer first come first served.

There are like no options for the RCSB trucks so I’m assuming the issues that are holding these higher trim trucks up is whatever you can’t get on a RCSB.

Mine is also a Carbonized Gray RCSB 4x4 expected 3/17-3/23. My dealer took an extra $1k off good until 4/4. Lucky enough to get Z plan, first responder and now extra thousand off. Building this as street truck. Parts piling up.

Thanks, the only IHC part is the upper control arm for camber adjustability. My full kit is a VAS 3/5 drop with traction bars, Viking coils up front and shocks in the back. Truck will be twin turbo over the winter if tuning becomes available. The RCSB is a slightly heavier mustang with 4 wheel drive. This is a separate vehicle, not a daily. Nice trucks, love how the new

I doubt that Ford can count the production sitting in their lots as “sales”. The usual metric is “shipments” after a valid order has been received. They have orders for some or all those vehicles but fail the shipment test. Consequently, I think Ford is at risk of missing Q1 sales as a result. That being said, 70% of management’s performance incentive is based on “quality”, which includes defects after delivery. I think that drove the decision to halt shipments. Read their February earnings call transcript for the year ended 12/31/23.

Platinum Plus (703A) ordered on 12/15/2023; "in production" since 2/15/2024...still "in production" on 3/1. Last week, the Ford Customer Hotline estimated delivery of 2/24 to 3/1. No truck yet and tracker indicates "in production". Come on Ford...get your act together and deliver the 2024's!!
Now 3/10/ 2024 and I'm still waiting on my Platinum Plus. No good word from Ford or dealer...just that the truck is "still in production" and "no ETA". I wish and could cancel my order (had a nonrefundable deposit); I'd purchase a Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition. Better to deal with a manufacturer that can deliver on their promises (where's that PAT better yet where are the 2024 trucks) and had 2024s on the lot in a timely manner. Shame on you Ford, you'll never get my repeat business again!

I find it crazy when people on here say they have a non-refundable deposit on their trucks. How much did they charge you? I ordered a 23 last year and didn't take it. Then Ordered 2 24's (lariat and XLT) so I could have options when they were built. All three trucks they didn't charge me any deposit at all.

Tundras engines are blowing up left and right, I’d stay far away from any turbocharged Tundra. The 3.5 iForce is not half the engine that the 5.7 iForce was.

Granger requires a non-refundable deposit for orders.

That's insane, I would never buy a truck from there. Even GM dealers I've delt may require a deposit but you get it back if you decide not to take the vehicle. Sounds like Granger is a shitty, dishonest dealership
