Both Ram and Chevy offer 0% and .9% on new 2024 and Ram goes a step further with either a 0% for 72 months or 10% off sticker.

When will @Ford Motor Company step up and offer incentives on their soon to be delivered 2024s?

Ford is totally insane and their dealers are crazier! 300+ 23s at my local dealer and they still want over sticker. Total clown show.
Over sticker??? What dealer? Name them.

Ford has been a total shit show lately. We are 4 years past COVID, the other manufacturers are not having the level of limited or no parts availability that Ford is still having. I don't get it.

Another thing you guys will find very interesting. I was talking with some big shots in my area the other day about the CHIPS and Science Act signed into law on 8/9/2022. If you're unfamiliar, the act includes $39 billion in subsidies for chip manufacturing on U.S. soil, along with 25% investment tax credits for costs of manufacturing equipment, and $13 billion for semiconductor research and workforce training, with the dual aim of strengthening American supply chain resilience and countering China. In my area, 2 structures have been built to act as a "Warehouse and Assembly Plant" for various Semiconductors and other components. The owners of these so called "CHIP companies" have ZERO intention of doing anything CHIP related. They are simply taking the Government subsidy to construct a "Free Building". After completion they will come up with some BS and ultimately flop the company, resulting in the sale of the Building, putting millions in the pockets of the people who received grants for the CHIP Act. If you live in an area that has begun construction on a CHIPS location, don't expect it to make anything CHIP related. It will end up another Service based business such as a Restaurant, Retail chain or Convenience Store. Just look at the fraud and abuse of all the COVID programs. It is pretty disgusting the greed and corruption that runs rampant in our Country.

And my buddy runs the body shop at a local Toyota dealer, they are still having issues getting parts. Odd it takes this long to "ramp back up"

If you want to crystal-ball the likely-hood of/type of 2024 F-150 incentives, use Ford management and investor releases as your guide. Farley’s talk at an auto conference on 2/15/24 in NYC has some hints.

Transcript (q4cdn.com)

My ‘Carnac the Magnificent’ take is as follows:

1. Ford’s current (3/8/24) ’24 incentives – in my zip/Houston/DFW area zips they currently tout 90 day deferred payment, expires 4/2/24. Also, many dealers I’ve looked at have a $xxxx Dealer Discount for ‘24s. Dunno if FoMoCo is subsidizing dealers on their ‘discounts’ or not. In comparison with Ford’s competitors that’s chump-change.

2. Interest rates for ’24 financing – seems that Farley is saying he’s expecting average transaction prices (ATP’s) in ’24 to diminish as a whole but ‘affordability’ to increase. I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting smokin’ hot financing interest rates to be offered any time soon.

“Good question. Yes. We said 2% (ATP’s down industry-wide in ’24). And what we really look at, John said this during earnings, so I know it's not new to you, but maybe some of the investors it is. What we really look at is because incomes have gone up, too. We look at the ratio between incomes and monthly payment. And that's before the pandemic, it was like 13% and had been for a long time. We think we're going to get back to that level of affordability in monthly payments. And I think that's the right way to run the business. How could it change? Well, we have a new F-150. How will our competitors react? Because, I mean, we're not the Ford that used – people used to think we are. I mean, we are not in all the segments. Our average price paid is like $51,000 in the US. We have a different portfolio than we've had in the past. And so you got to look at our pricing bet relative to those segments, but there's some offsets there. We have 60% of our revenues new. So there's some – that could be some upside. It has been actually the last couple years. We've got new product like Super Duty is way outperforming what we wrote down.”

3. Hard cash incentives for ‘24s– if you believe Farley (a big “if”), a lot of what Ford will do regards ’24 incentives depends on what GM/Ram do. And we know current GM/Ram incentives are huge compared to Ford. My take on this is forget about any big incentives move in March, wait until after March sales figures are released before any possible movement

“But on the other hand, I can't predict what my competitors are going to do. Truck Month is coming up in Texas this month. Watch that one really carefully. What will Ram and Silverado do in Texas this month with the new F-150 coming around the corner? I don't know. I think that's the one I watch the closest………. So it really comes down to the F-150, how the new one is received and what pricing policy my competitors have as they – as we start to scale the F-150. I don't really see a lot of variance from there.”

So my crystal ball says maybe mid-April or May there may be some better ’24 F-150 incentives offers but not before that.

Hope Ford proves me wrong but unlikely.

I went to Prosper Ford today (in the DFW area) and they said they would come $8000 off sticker OR 1.9% but not both. Aside from being probably the rudest dealership I’ve ever been to, they were not willing to budge 1 penny from the $8k and most of their trucks had about 5000 miles.
Garbage dealer. I wouldn’t buy a thing from them.
I’m starting to see the $10-$15k off MSRP deals go away from the DFW area. This makes my ‘24 order from Granger so much more valuable.

Yup it’s totally insane. My local dealer in denver is 2k over msrp for a truck with 700 miles. Found one in Albuquerque for msrp with 7k miles, same from one in AZ with 4k, I’ve talked to Grand Prairie, and a few others in Texas and they all want 3-5k in mandatory add ons. It’s all a big joke.
