Here is a shot of the back of my Atlas Blue with the BAP. Atlas Blue is darker than the Velocity Blue that it replaced in 2022. VB with the lighter look gave a nice contrast to the black but the new AB makes it kind of blend in. Both are good looks it just depends on your preference. I prefer the contrast myself.I'm getting the chrome letters for my 2023 Atlas Blue truck
Those Putco stainless steel inserts arrived and they are fairly good. A little filing of the edges is needed as it seems the cutout was not as smooth as it could have been.My pleasure! You guys/gals on here teach me all kinds of stuff about my new 21 Plati, so I'm glad I can offer something for a change. Lol. Let us know how yours turn out! Have a Blessed day! -Andrea
Let me know if you end up getting the letters from Sharp Truck like I did. Good luck!and @azdub1 very good to know... thank you... the letters seem to fade into the applique and the stickers make it stand out nicely. As you can see my '15 was white like yours and Im thinking the black against my AM BLue will tie it in pretty well.
I will check out those Ford letters!
Hmm weird...I wonder if they updated the listing because I reached out asking as to why they weren't grey/gunmetal as noted. Lol. It does say gunmetal at top and then the red box says titanium finish. I can't imagine why they wouldn't fit your 2022...it's still the same model design as 2021. Maybe email them and confirm? But, sounds like you don't want these anyway.I just went to order this product and its telling me its not made for my 22 truck? Its referring a Titanium stainless option, which I dont want....

Well I like the look of the pix provided by you guys, it almost looks black... but I will reach out to them and see what they say.Hmm weird...I wonder if they updated the listing because I reached out asking as to why they weren't grey/gunmetal as noted. Mine came in today but right on the pack it says "2017 Super Duty" so they just grabbed and boxed the wrong ones...I also did tons of searches and research online. Ordered Tufskinz red letters, but they were flimsy and ABS plastic-y. Then, ordered the Ford-licensed ones...but, not from Ford as I was trying to save a few bucks. Sharp Truck has them the cheapest and fast shipping.... https://www.sharptruck.com/truck-ha...G3TGQddXtVjptgpmkfu_Hj1wc0wUVrSEaAlS3EALw_wcB Note: they are more black then "gunmetal" but there aren't any other good options out there, so these are fine for me.
Oh no! That sucks! I actually prepped with the alcohol wipes they provided, but you can do the same with isopropyl alcohol if you have some at home and a microfiber cloth. My truck was also detailed that day on purpose so it would be clean. But, the wipes inside the letter indentions just gets it super clean and ready for adhesion. I think the kit comes with one. Try not to do it on a windy day or once you pull the adhesive strip off you might get debris on them. Lol. And of course try to avoid touching the sticky part as much as possible to ensure a good seal. Good Luck!Mine came in today but right on the pack it says "2017 Super Duty" so they just grabbed and boxed the wrong ones...
Oh well.. What did you do to prep the textured surface?
Hmmm no "Kit" per se... just a plastic bag with all letters... Again, maybe a different situation for the 2017 Super Duty pack...Oh no! That sucks! So weird! Yeah mine definitely had a packet of something in it, I'm pretty sure it was an alcohol wipe or maybe it was a gel cleaner...sheesh I can't remember. I wonder if the 2017 SD letters were more gunmetal than black.. can you tell? Mine are definitely more black than the dark grey I was going for. But, I've gotten used to the black by now.Hmmm no "Kit" per se... just a plastic bag with all letters... Again, maybe a different situation for the 2017 Super Duty pack...
The good news, is they told me to keep these, so if anyone has a '17 (generation) Super Duty Platinum. They can have these.

Oh wow! The irony in Super Duty's having smaller emblems. Lol. Told ya, they definitely black. Sucks cuz that is misleading. Gun metal to me is dark grey. Or maybe I'm just old. Haha. These are def black.
As you can see, these are WAY smaller than what they need to be.

I prefer the darker color against my AntiMatter Blue. Anything but the soft accent to "Platinum".Oh wow! The irony in Super Duty's having smaller emblems. Lol. Told ya, they definitely black. Sucks cuz that is misleading. Gun metal to me is dark grey. Or maybe I'm just old. Haha.
