I have a question.
the trucks that have the 4g lte wifi hot spot delete how do these vehicles get updated?
arent all the OTA via the built in modem vice WIFI

Me too. Two OTA's in 24 hours, last one September 2022. I guess the system is finally working.

My 4.2.1 finished last night at about 9pm and 4.2.2 popped up on PTS around 2:30 this afternoon

@rugedraw Can you take a look at my truck. I think 4.2.2 downloaded but failed to install, Any insight would be helpful. I thought 4.2.1 was supposed to let you know if prerequisites aren't being met!

i wasnt sure if was the same as not having the wifi modem like i have in the 22
i was looking at a 23 king ranch explorer for my wife and it had the hotspot deleted.

It did fail yesterday. Looks like the same update might fail for me today, too.

That might be a good thing?? Incidentally I tested my streaming for the first time this morning, after 4 2 1. Tried it with Pandora and I heart and it didn't skip a beat. I'm a Samsung s22 Verizon, AA v. 9.3.631434. No connection error as Kanuck had. Did your streaming work ok today?

Went back and took a look at the log for the install. The files for 4.2.2 started DL at 4:26 and the install was complete by 5:26. Seriously, why can't FDRS work like that.

It was already glitchy. Now it's worse. Phone calls cause music streaming to go silent after I hang up. Either that, or soon as I hang up AA just disconnects completely. Text notifications silence the music for way too long. It's annoying af.

Great to hear it installed! There is hope for me yet.
If 4.2.2 doesn't install by Memorial day. Guess, it'll be another $50.00 payable to @Ford Motor Company
