B&O Unleashed… the Worst of OEM Offerings

FYI - Someone posted the B&O Unleashed demo music, which I noticed that all the music on the demo is in wave format. 12 wave files using 525 meg of storage.

I agree Kanuck. Everyone talking about this and that for quality, reality is, most of us are using MP3, AIFF, "Apple Lossless" or other formats for music. I would recommend using a FLAC or better file.(Yes FLAC works in our decks.)
Here is one example of a FLAC file. Throw this on a thumb drive and listen to it. (If you dont like the group or song, thats fine, just listen to every string and cymbal in the song. Also notice the size of the file)

Snake is correct. The front door speakers have no tweeters and are set for mids\bass. Considering the 97 tweeters in the dash, pillars and headrests, it makes sense. They really should offset with tweeters in the back at ear level, not just in the lower doors. Maybe thats what the headrest tweets are supposed to do, but lets all be honest... we cant hardly even hear those things. They are not powered... they run right off the APIM.

Was just wondering...as my battery died a week after purchasing my truck and my truck "thumped" for a full 30 mins until it finally faded out and completely died off. It was so loud, my neighbor came out to see what was going on. So, I was wondering if the thumping caused speakers to blow or something. I appreciate the info!

Considering all the chip crap with Ford the last few years, really have nothing to speak about. JUST TODAY, I had my rear shock replaced on my basically brand new truck. FX4 package apparently cant handle me going to get coffee every morning.

Drove a new Wagoneer this weekend from Las Vegas to Lake Havasu...had Alpine system...actually didn't sound that bad...

Rear door speakers are a two-way set up that have tweeters built into them. Ford counts those particular speakers as 2 speakers in the 18 speaker total count. The front door speaker is a one-way speaker with the tweeter separated and placed in the a-pillar above the dash.

I bought the "Unleashed" upgrade solely for the OEM speaker locations as adapting dashes, headliners and headrest for an OEM-look speaker is a pain in the ass. Figuring I'd be swapping out the amplification and most of the speakers I started with re-amplification and a sub upgrade and it REALLY livened up the system.

Do you have a parts list for this setup and cost to install?
