PTS shows his Sync version in blank. FDRS history shows a PMI process performed on his truck 14 months ago. It failed twice and it is unclear if it went through the third time, as they did not click the "yes" button in FDRS to confirm it went through successfully. They just cycled the key off and on and then closed FDRS. The fact that his truck hasn't synced up with Ford's servers yet to reflect the Sync version in over a year is strange, don't you think?@ccyote21 . What’s your Sync version. Looking at your VIN (MFA) you have an early-run ‘21 with an APIM update pending. Good chance your APIM is locked up and you need it recovered or replaced.
Yes have fordpass connected to the truck.PTS shows his Sync version in blank. FDRS history shows a PMI process performed on his truck 14 months ago. @ccyote21 Did you ever activate Fordpass on your truck? It is not recording any DTC's onto Ford's servers.
Nevermind. It took a while to load and I had to refresh PTS a few times, but it is showing info on the connected vehicle tab. I had another theory, but it just went out the window.Yes have fordpass connected to the truck.
Agreed. Although the Sync version is a little newer than I expected, I’m not getting the warm fuzzies from the vehicle history. They need to try to update the APIM and if they can’t, they need to run the recovery procedure.Nevermind. Good luck. Hopefully you can convince them to update the APIM at least.
I did notice the blank sync version as well. I see that in jan 2021 someone swapped 2 apims 2 timesPTS shows his Sync version in blank. Can't tell what was the last Power Update you got since OTA history is only recorded for 60 days. Based on your Sync version, you are for sure not up to date.
Soo I’m new here, just wondering if anybody can tell me what’s going on. I’ve had the truck at the dealer most recently as end of Feb. beginning of March. Took it in for a service and asked them to look at my battery because my start/stop wasn’t working and was hoping that’s the reason I haven’t received any updates since September of last year. Got the battery replaced but they said the truck is up to date. That’s bull because I’m pretty sure I’m on 2.7.4 or something like that.![]()
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It does appear that the dealer did install a new apim although the process did not seem to have completed or at least it has not updated your sync version in their database yetCan some please look me up and see what the dealership did, if anything, when they had my truck 2 weeks ago? They were supposed to be replacing the APIM and GWM to install all the updates needed for Blue Cruise, but told me there's a bulletin out from 4 January that said not to install updates anymore. So I'm not really sure what they did in the end. 1FTFW1ED6MFB67945
Also, has anyone heard anything about when that programming ban might be lifted from ford or what is driving it?
Thanks!
I see PMI procedures run for the GWM, but not the APIM. Seems like the also replaced your PSCM and ran many camera and IPMA alignment procedures. They seem to have legit worked on your truck. The bulletin from Ford from 1/4 is also legit. No idea when it will be lifted. The reason for the bulletin is due to a possible issue with the IPC update needed to enable bluecruise. Can some please look me up and see what the dealership did, if anything, when they had my truck 2 weeks ago? Your truck is past the hump where job 1 trucks get stuck. Because detailed OTA history is only recorded for 60 days and your last recorded OTA was in October, we cannot see which one it was to determine what your last Power Up update was. That is a list of all modules on your truck that have pending updates. If you don't have an IMPA update there, it means that either it was already done via OTA, or other updates need to take place before the IPMA update will pop up on that list. It is not that black and white where we can answer your questions straight up.Thank you does that mean the ipma is done Sorry I'm a little new to these
Sorry I'm new to this so just a few questions.
Does this mean that my job 1 truck is updating correctly? Or do I need to take other actions. Can you tell me the current version of power up I have(3.52.ect)or is that not for job 1 trucks. This list is what needs to be updated? Not seeing the ipma update means it done already? Thank you for your patience and help with this.
