I love this thread already. I am glad that I stumbled onto it.

While the SAP and BAPs are cool (and I have considered them a few times) it is nice to see some chrome!

But back to the main point, the chatter has seemed to die down on a lot of the other threads. ?

@bfastr as the saying goes, chrome don’t get you home!! ;) Come on fellas, at least get some window tint! My tint went on this morning, day 5 of ownership. Sooo much better. Line-x on Monday, bed cover in the garage waiting and I ordered some rear wheel well liners today.

Glad to see @Blackout150 is enjoying his truck!

I cant find where it says what update I am at. but I have full screen carplay and the 75th spalsh screen already. so I dont think I am waiting, when I click the software screen it just says, yup, ur up to date.

I have 250 miles.. about the remedy that tho with a cross country road trip

one thing I have learned from the forum and pictures is the BAP has a lot nicer grill than the SAP.
looking at your truck VS the one I ordered , mine would have had a flat black grill. just seems to me on a Lariat trim truck it should be a little nicer. unless thats the look you are after.

regardless, the KR I ended up buying is should be called a Khrome Ranch !!! but it works really well on Rapid Red. another choice I never would have ordered until I saw it in person.

just sucks there is no inventory anywhere to really research the colors and packages.

here is the truck I ordered (Carb Gry) and the truck I bought (Rap Red) , polar opposites but both nice !!

I love that red!! I should have gotten that color. That's a nice looking truck.

Mine is going into the tint shop for PPF and ceramic tint all the way around on Monday and Line-X on Friday. And speaking of chrome, I have enough for everybody!!! I still want the BAP hood...

Is this going to be our new hang out thread? Only because I gotta tell you what happened the other day. I check the mail, and my dealer sent what looked like a check through the little envelope window. I open the letter and there was a check for a $1000. I nearly shite meself. The found another rebate and sent me a check for it. How freakin' cool is that? They didn't have to do that. Adding that on to my deal, I came out pretty damn good. Now the tint and PPF won't hurt as bad.

And I'm still rooting for @PPEng15. Dang buddy I want you to get your truck.

Between the multiple build weeks, chip/parts hold, and then extended deliveries, I think it should be. Check in on the other threads, but come back here for bonding.

Did any of you also go through the VIN wait process? I was one of those lucky ones to wait 6 months just for that.

It is awesome that your dealer sent you the rebate and did not pocket it.

The truck is scheduled for delivery anytime over the next two weeks.

I did see the vin waiting process. I was lucky and got my vin in like 6 days. Everyone was like what the hell. How did you get it so fast. I was lucky with that but we all know the rest of the story?

I waited 5 months for my VIN but once received along with my production date the production date did not change. So I did not have the added stress of a production date getting moved back several times, just the dreaded chip hold.
I have to say the truck is really different from all the other F150's I have owned. The brain this thing has just blows my mind. Mine is only at 3.5.2 but the changes made from what I had at delivery is like a new truck. Dash display is slightly different when using blue cruise and the alerts I get are changed and thankfully less often.
Yesterday I took an hour drive to visit a relative. I used bluecruise as much as possible to test out some others complaints. The only time it dropped out was when I changed lanes. I liked that it did that. I bought the truck to drive it not be a passenger behind a wheel. Mine does not seem to bounce side to side in the lane. It does hug slightly to the right but that just gives me reason to tug enough on the wheel so the truck knows I'm there.
Some have complained when they wear sunglasses big brother can't see their eyes and they get the nasty message to keep eyes on the road. It was slightly overcast but I purposely wore my sunglasses to test it. No issues for me. Maybe its the type of sunglasses worn.
The update changed my dash view when using navigation. Tach and speedo shrink to allow turns to appear dead center where they are easy to see. This works when I used trucks navigation or maps on carplay. Did not work with Waze but I am ok with that. Still no full screen carplay but I am okay waiting.
Tow mirrors are awesome for visibility but the passenger side mirror sucks after dark. No tint on it so those headlights, especially LED lights are great to blind a guy, and forget it if someone has the LED fog lights on too. I had to have my wife block the mirror as I could not see a thing in front of me with that mirror reflecting light brighter than 7 times the sun at high noon. It's great having LED lights when you are behind the wheel but it sucks for others around you. I'll be making the call to get that mirror filmed this week.
I gotta say like everyone else it really was worth the wait.
That's all for this long post, except that yes I do miss the banter about waiting for our trucks, but it has been replaced by driving them.

Yeah, I don’t get why they didn’t do the film on the passenger side mirror. But I have it adjusted just a little bit out anyways so that the lights don’t bother me. I don’t have blue cruise but I haven’t seen anything about keeping your eyes on the road. I don’t know if that’s something only with bluecruise. This truck is so different than any other F150 I have ever had but loving it.

If I remember correctly (IIRC [my wife had to explain it], I got my VIN in June for my August build. Couldn't use it for anything, but I had it.
There are cameras on the dash behind tinted plastic covers that looks at your eyes while you drive. Don't pay attention and you get the warnings. I appreciate the warnings, but I've been driving for 45 years.
I think my truck is the piece of technology I was wanting when I bought my last car four years ago. I've driven it 100 miles I think, but my only complaint so far is how noisy the running boards are when they operate. If you have them, you know what I mean. My favorite thing, and I can't believe I'm saying this, is how quiet it is. The Hankooks contribute to that, but it really is quiet. And in electric mode it blows me away.
I think this is a perfect place for us to hang out!

Yes the running boards do make more noise than my last ones. Maybe it is magnified because of how quiet the trucks are?

Yes the running boards do make a lot of noise. Something I can definitely live with. I’ve never had them before so I have no comparison. Otherwise the truck is very quiet
