2023 Tremor - Ordered Today - WalterMitty's Version

Received an email today from the dealer. Build date was 11/20 but the Ford Order Status page still says in production, while the dealer says, "I do not know why that site has not updated, but for a little while now it has been awaiting shipment."

Oh bother, hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Still no emails from the dealer since the purchase, and no new emails from Ford in a while. Tracker site still says "Built" with a Built date of 11/30. Per the Tracking site, shipping could take a "few days to a week". I'm not sure I totaly trust the Built status, but if that is true, it's probalby like someone mentioned above and in some sort of backlog of shipping mess.

I can't remember....Did you go with Granger too?

Second one from Granger, very upfront, called to discuss the heated wheel delete, asked if I wanted to continue with the order and ask me to sign document to that effect, handled very well.

Hoping something comes thru within first couple of weeks of January...

Correction - Granger did reach out to me via email when Ford took back the heated steering wheel and mirrors, and offered that I could cancel my order and get my deposit back. Then they reached out again when mirrors were added back.

10022022: Received email from Ford, basically saying, it's been a while, but we will give updates at least every 45 days.
10052022: Received email from dealer that said Heated Steering Wheel & Heated Mirrors are Removed
10102022: Received emial from dealer that said Heated Mirrors are back
10132022: Received "Scheduled For Production" email from Ford. Week of 11/21/2022
11182022: Noticed @ Ford Tracker, now shows "In Production", and Window Sticker is present
12012022: Ford Tracker now shows "Built" (with a date of 11/30/2022 under it).
12022022: Received email from Ford that says that its been built and "Our current estimate for delivery to Granger Motors, Inc. is between Dec 11, and Dec 17.

What's odd is that I also got an email from Ford, sort of an auto generated one I am assuming, that said "While Produciton was scheduled to begin 11/21, supply chain challenges continue to casue delays and uncertainty. I'm assuming this was auto generated because the in production date looked to have been 11/27 per the tracker site.

I pinged Granger to see what their turnaround time typcially is, and they said that they ask for a week to a week and a half to get through PDI and clean up.

Given all the above, a between Christmas and New Year pick up might be in the cards.

My thoughts.

• No idea what that means. You said it was built. So was it not totally built? Did something happen to it? Did it get damaged and now you needed to fix something? Did you notice something?
• The email came fairly late yesterday, which was already 4 days into the new shipping window. The 29th is just tomorrow. All of it just makes me wonder what is really going on.

That is strange what is really going on with all of this. I have not heard anything since the Dec 2nd email that said supply chain issues see you in 45 days. Any thoughts?

What does the Ford Tracking site say for you?

It says in production and has not changed. I have a window sticker available to look at but that's about it at this time.

I had ordered a '23 402A Tremor from Granger that I decided not to purchase for various reasons. I still get notifications that shipping is delayed until a later date, and the tracker still only shows "built", but the weird thing is, they have a special order truck for sale on the lot, identical to my build, blend date, MSRP, etc. It was delivered several weeks ago. Slightly different VIN. The one I ordered ends in 2826.

It says in production and has not changed. I have a window sticker available to look at but that's about it at this time.

You ordered about a month after I did, but our "In Production" week was the same. My guess is that they are waiting on a part or two for your build. That, and with all the holidays and weather, it's probalby been pretty bumpy these last 30 days. Hopefully, January will get things back on track.

12302022: I got an email from the Dealer. She was responding to my questions about the Ford email and the whole biz about ensuring complete satisfaction. She didn't have any answers on that front, but she did share what she's seeing on her end....which she is now seeing an estimated ship date of Jan 1-7. She had some more detials, so maybe this is more of a "real" date now? The previous statuses where also "Awaiting Shipment" and the secondary status was "Released". Now the seconday status says "Origin Received". Also, the previous "Vehicle Location" was very general, and now a Ramp number is listed.

I just checked the link you gave me and it says my truck has been built on 12/31/2022. Not sure I am happy about it being built on New Years eve but hey it is what it is. Let's just hope there wasn't some early partying going on while completing it. Now the big thing is to wait for shipment. I wonder how long that will take if its even built for real or if I will get another notice saying its delayed. Thank you for the link btw.
