Well, I'm done. I've been lurking on this thread since about late August. Initially I ordered a 2022 F-150 Lariat 502A in early May and was told it would be somewhere around 8-12 weeks, with 16-weeks being the longest until it got here. I thought it was perfect timing, because my wife was pregnant and her due date was set somewhere around that time. All those time periods, and then some have come and gone, and now my son is about to be 4-Months old next week.

To keep my options open I reached out to a local Toyota dealership in the beginning of November and 3-weeks later I had the exact model in the color, and trim that I wanted. So I ended up getting a 2023 Toyota 4Runner. It's not quite as big or as nice the truck I had custom ordered. Though it sure was a whole hell of a lot cheaper.

Ultimately I would've loved to get the Ford Truck, but I needed a vehicle like 3-months ago. This whole process has been absolute bullshit, and I commend those of you still waiting. Anyways, best of luck all, and I hope you get your vehicles soon.

We ordered a day apart. Sorry you haven’t got your truck and I do hope you enjoy the 4Runner with your family. The only thing I can tell you is that when the dealer told you that at the beginning, he was total full of shit. My dealer was more realistic at 3-4 months but this chip hold is total crap. Thanks for your post

Any dealership that would have told you this at this point in not only supply chain issues, but model year transitions, was totally blowing smoke up your very dark place. I believe they did one of two things. They either wanted to hook you and string you along, or get you to order and if you back out later, they will just have another truck to put on the lot.

I have ordered 5 or 6 vehicles since the 1990's (Dodge, Toyota and Ford) and every time I was told 12-16 weeks. This was under the best of circumstances. I never got a special order sooner than 12-13 weeks.

I was told 10-16 weeks and was foolish to allow myself to believe it. That would have put the truck in my possession for fathers day. Nice gift to myself.

I agree with you. Last December my dealer approached me wanting my 2019. They want used vehicles to sell as they are having trouble getting new. I was also told they cannot order high end trucks without a customer name attached to the order. There you go. That is how they can have high end trucks on the lot. Takes longer than the customer wants so they refuse it.
There is nothing wrong with my 2019, its in near perfect condition but the trade in I was offered was just too good to resist. I am anxious to get the PB and try it out for myself. I usually do trade off about every three years anyway so the timing was right. I had hoped this one would arrive before year end but now do not expect it. Bonus if it arrives. Until then I'll motor along in not quite as much comfort as a King Ranch but more than enough for me.

Only thing I regret is selling my 2013. Should have just kept it. Driving a 2010 Toyota Tacoma right now. It is the worst. I don’t understand how people love these trucks. Uncomfortable, no power (it is a v6) and the gas mileage is is horrible.

And I thought I had it bad. Trying to keep miles off of my 2019 Lariat (V8 and I get the same mileage I did with my 2016 Lariat Eco boost) so I spend a lot of time driving my work van, 2017 transit 250, stripped down model. The joys of self employment lol

It only took three weeks from my truck being marked as shipped for it to actually be put on a railcar. Finally got a railcar number last night and so far it's made it to Bellevue, OH.

Closer every day.
Mine was the opposite, put in a railcar a day after being marked shipped but has been sitting for 7 days

My modules jumped last night from 955 to 1813 after months of no movement so I was thankful to see that and guessing it might be moved to built status in the coming week. Now if they can just find a way to get me the vehicle prior to a rail strike? Hopeful.

Holy sweet Jesus - 237 days I have actually moved to built. Now just have to get through the 6 month shipping cycle.
Good for you. Gives me some hope. 278 days since I placed my order and still in production status.
It's been so long since I ordered I wonder if I can get "collector" plates when it does finally arrive?

My F150 had more movement recently, and I received this VVR:

Ford F-150 Chip hold My22 & My23 1669651164221

Surprisingly, the delivery date has pulled in by 5 days, which seems promising.

Does anyone know how to track this with the convoy number and this shipper, Vehi-Ship LLC?
