Chip hold My22 & My23

Talked to the New Vehicle Support line today, got a case number assigned. Not expecting that to be helpful as some others have also done that. One piece of helpful information was they said to call my dealer and get my Priority Code changed. It hasn't been updated since I placed my order, so it's currently at 19. They said the dealer can update this to as high as a 10. Anything better than that (lower number) has to be done by the factory (?). I thought I've read where dealers have made the priority code better than a 10, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, it's worth a try.

I was able to get priority 2 build and I’m on day 70 of chip hold. Sorry but I don’t think that matters but doesn’t hurt I guess.

The order track number went up a little too. Which I don't get. If no new vehicles are rolling off the line how does that number go up?

ordertrack.app depends on users adding the information to the tracker. You could very well simply be seeing people adding their trucks to the tracker. The tracker isn't linked to any Ford realtime database of all trucks built, only those that users volunteered to track.

Did you and @869 get the shipped emails? From what I understand they put your truck in "ship mode" and my FordPass activation is still in pending status. Given that and the fact I don't have the "shipped" email from Ford, I'd have to guess I'm still sitting at Flat Rock.

No shipping email, just the built and awaiting shipment.

Per Chip at Granger - Priority Code changes only help moving up the build date. Once a vehicle has moved to chip hold, priority codes have no bearing. ?

Since the person I spoke to at for this morning was the least bit helpful, I decided to satisfy my boredom by calling Ford again to see what updates they would give me. This time i was told my is built, which i already knew, but was also told that a component failed while doing the quality assessment and they’re waiting for that part to arrive. My Eta is 10/20 which they expect could change. I think this week is going to be a big fat Nope. Thoughts?

Yes. Nothing has changed since it went to chip hold back in August. I can say for sure but i think the person i spoke to was just giving me a story rather than just saying it in hold then asking for me to hold for the survey.

Back in august they told me that my truck was on the ramp and scheduled the vehicle delivered to my dealer August 31st which coincidentally was August 31st. I called my dealer and my dealer and my sales guy was like, “nope, it’s definitely not here.” So needless to say I don’t trust anything i am told.

Would be cool if everyone got their built emails on the 20th that's been waiting here. But going out on a limb that that won't be a thing. Maybe by the New Year I'll have a truck. The pessimism is starting to really set in

Also that Order Track number is booming so seems like next weeks builds are actually going to happen. Can't wait for a '23 to arrive before I get my '22

I pay no attention to Order Track's information other than the status. It's just easier to use than Ford's portal. I appreciate the app. It's good for giggles. As long as new vehicles are tracked, the similar to number will never go down much at all. Assuming similar to filters by model year, it'll be a long time before that number drops significantly.

I just have to remember the wisdom of Kwai Chang Caine of Kung Fu fame. "Patience grasshopper."
