Dealer "said" they ordered? Did you leave with signed order sheet? Did you receive confirmation email from ford?

When I ordered my 22, i left dealer with signed order sheet amd received confirmation email from ford before i left dealer

I did my ordering via email, so I digitally signed all the paper work, and then after signing them received copies of all my signed docs.

The dealership (via email) confirmed receiving all my signed paper work, as well as my deposit, and they said that my order had been placed.

The same day, I received an email from Ford saying "Your Order Has Been Confirmed". I posted this in the second post of this thread.

Dear Mr. Mitty-

Congrats on ordering your 2023 Tremor! I took ownership last week on my 2022 and it took exactly 8 months to the day from ordering to delivery. I like your taste since mine is also Antimatter Blue with a 402a Package- (Pro Power/Unleashed Sound System/Max Tow/ Bed Utility Package and some minor goodies). I just want to let you know to just RELAX and enjoy the wait- it’s well worth it. I had many F150’s and my last three, 06/13/18, were all King Ranch’s so I know the brand well. I can tell you that I only had this truck for a little over a week and it’s terrific! I wanted something different from all the other trucks on the road and also be able to perform on the job site and get me to my cabin with ease!

Here’s what you’re in for:

-Thank you email from Ford before you leave the dealership.

-Second email telling you that once the parts are secured Ford will schedule your build.

-Third email (2 months later) telling you that they haven’t secured the parts.

-Fourth email (2 months later) with your VIN # and letting you know that you receive a build week soon. (Don’t click on any of the links because they don’t do anything.)

-Fifth email (1 month later) with an actual build week, VIN # and links that actually work!

… Now the fun starts….

-Sixth, Seventh and Eighth (every two weeks or so) changing you build week each time. You may start to get excited that you may be getting a truck soon but again just take a deep breath and RELAX! None of those emails are true.

-Ninth email with actual real build week/day with a timeline. Now you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Have a drink.

-Tenth email that looks identical to the ninth telling you that your truck has been built and is ready for shipment! Timeline updates and now you can get excited. Have another drink.

-Eleventh email telling you that your truck is at the dealership. However, you will probably get a call from your dealer 2-4 days prior to the email telling you that your 2023 Tremor is here. Happy Days. What if found to be interesting is that once Ford built the truck it was at my dealership within 3 weeks. My truck was built in Michigan, and I live in Northeast Pennsylvania.

I hope you find this email enjoyable because I know that your “TREMOR” will be worth the wait. Finally, If you need some support along the what the way, please let me know and I’ll upload some pictures.
Thanks for your post. I too was looking for something a bit different. I was a bit hesitant with pulling the trigger as this will be my first domestic truck purchase (owned 2 Tundras previously). But the Tremor really caught my eye, and I decided to take the plunge once Ford decided to offer it with the V8. My only other concern is the short bed. I don't foresee it being a huge issue but it could bite me once in a while.

All that said, I'm excited about the truck, and am patiently waiting. Your 8 months estimate sort of ties in with my estimate of April 1, 2023 for my Aug 18, 2022 order.

Hey guys, not new to ford but new to the forum. I test drove a Tremor and Raptor the other day, i'm sold on the tremor but would rather order a '23 to either get the Azure Gray or Avalanche. I'm in missouri and am going to my local dealer tomorrow to place it. Reading through some posts a lot have mentioned Grainger Ford. Do they just have better pricing or better chances of getting an order sooner? I'm new to the order process so any advice is appreciated.

Going with the 402A, any thoughts on AGM? Looks great on a raptor but it's hard to picture on a Tremor. Avalanche is safer but AGM looks a little more unique.

Good thing since you couldnt order a 22 if you wanted too.

I'm brand new to both Ford and the order process...driven here by the frustrations with Toyota who can't even get you a vehicle and doesn't have an order process.

For me, it was about price. All the places by me sort of acted like selling you a truck at MSRP was a big deal....big favor. And that was if you ordered one. Anything on the lot will have a markup over MSRP and they are not budging.

Granger will order you a truck at 3% under INVOICE (not MSRP). I'm in no rush, and that's better than any deal around me. For the prices we are talking about...that's like a $7k savings.

In terms of speed.....I can't see Granger being any slower than any other dealer. In fact, I would assume that they are a fairly high volume shop, and might even get things faster.....but I have no real knowledge on that front.

So I ordered through them, and they were very upfront that they have no idea when the truck will arrive. My guess is April 1.

Just of note about the message from your dealer. I have ordered 5 or 6 vehicles from the late 1980's to present. At no time did it ever take about a 1 month. I believe that is just salesman folly that he was telling you. I think the best I ever got was about 11 or 12 weeks.
Yeah, my fastest was my 2019 Ranger. Ordered beginning of May, took delivery end of July.

Don’t forget the part where you’re “in production” for 6 weeks and on chip hold. That was my favorite part ?

Just ordered my '23 Tremor on Sept 23, received confirmation from Ford 3 days later.

This morning I get a "scheduled for production" email with a VIN stating it will be produced the week of Nov 7th? That all seems far too quick to be true?!

Do you mind sharing what you’re building? I’m wondering if certain option packages are getting built sooner than others.
